Apex Legends Dark Depths event: Start date, new Habitat Arenas map, skins & more
Respawn Entertainment has officially announced the Dark Depths event which brings a brand-new Arenas map as well as new skins. Here’s everything you need to know, including the event’s start and end date, as well as the unique rewards on offer.
Apex Legends Season 11 added a plethora of new content, including the new Legend Ash and Storm Point map. Now, players are wondering what fresh content drop Respawn have planned next.
Respawn Entertainment has now revealed the “Dark Depths” event has been uncovered that will bring some exciting new additions to the battle royale, including some new skins and the Habitat Arenas map.

Apex Legends Dark Depths start date & end date
Apex Legends Season 11’s Dark Depths event will run from January 11, 2021, until February 1st.
There will be new cosmetics to earn during each week of the event, so make sure you’re tuning in each week to unlock all of the rewards.
New Apex Legends ‘Habitat’ Arenas map
Not only will there be new skins and cosmetics to get your hands on, but the Dark Depths event will also introduce a brand new Arenas map – Habitat.
Habitat takes place on a small island that’s used as a Leviathan breeding ground. The devs said that “It represents our vision of an arena established in a natural environment while holding true to the tentpoles of arena design.”
Habitat’s centerpiece is a large waterfall but there are also “trenches and terraces of varied elevation,” that make the map “a paradise for slides and quick getaways.”
Apex Legends Dark Depths Flash Events & rewards
There will also be new challenges and rewards to earn during the Dark Depths event, with a new Flash Event added each week.

From the Apex Legends blog, here are some of the rewards you’ll earn each week:
- January 11th to January 18th
- Key prizes include: Apex Packs, Epic Holospray, Load Screen
- January 18th to January 25th
- Key prizes include: Apex Pack, Valkyrie Epic Holospray, 1 Dark Depths Pack
- January 25th to February 1st
- Key prizes include: Epic Revenant Holospray, Epic Alternator Skin, Epic Revenant Skin
Apex Legends Dark Depths event skins
Alongside this brand-new Arenas map comes unique new skins for Fuse, Horizon, Ash, and Lifeline.
Fuse gets the ‘Broseidon’ skin and bundle, where he dresses up as Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. This pack will be in the store for the entirety of the event, with the other skins such Ash’s Denizen of the Deep and Lifeline’s My Wave will rotate out.
Plus, players can unlock an Epic Revanent skin for completing January 25 to February 1’s Flash Event.

Plus, some old favorite bundles will return to the store such as the Deathproof Bundle, Void Protector Bundle, and Haute Drop Bundle.
