One of the Apex Legends developers has praised the addition of a highly-requested quality of life change that has made things easier for controller players in Season 14.

Apex Legends Season 14 has finally arrived, bringing a plethora of brand-new content for fans of the battle royale title to enjoy, including the Legend Vantage and a significant level cap increase.

Respawn Entertainment also made other adjustments in the seasonal update, such as the addition of a new quality of life change which has received high praise from one of the developers.

Apex Legends controller players complained about the fact that multiple actions are mapped to a single button. As a result, attempting to reload while near a downed player would cause you to accidentally revive or finish them off.

The Season 14 update helped players get around this problem by adding the ability to use “tap” interact prompts when they conflict with “hold,” so that you don’t have to worry about accidentally triggering the wrong response.

Now, reloading near downed teammates is a lot more reliable on controllers. Apex Legends Game Designer John ‘JayBiebs’ Larson praised this quality of life change in a tweet, stating that the new adjustments have made the game feel “so fresh.”

He also expressed his satisfaction with how the changes to the map, weapons, and Legends have been implemented in the game. JayBiebs tweeted: “As a designer and player I support them all 100%.”

Apex Legends Season 14 also features changes to the Battle Pass challenges and other new additions, so there’s plenty of content for players to explore after dropping into the battle royale title.
