Apex Legends dev responds to concerns about Storm Point loot pool
Apex Legends Season 11 will bring a brand new map to the game called Storm Point, and one developer has responded to fan concerns about the loot pool in this location.
Respawn have a plethora of exciting content planned for Apex Legends Season 11, including the new Legend Ash and C.A.R. SMG. There will also be a new map called Storm Point that players can battle on.
This new area is a tropical climate with beaches, blue waters, wildlife, and a variety of plants too. However, players are concerned that there won’t be enough loot on the map at launch.
Now, one Apex Legends developer has responded to these concerns.
Respawn’s lead game designer Rodney Reece previously worked on the World’s Edge map in Apex Legends and is now the lead designer on Storm Point. He responded to fan queries on Twitter about the loot pool in this new map.
Players complained that there wasn’t enough loot on World’s Edge when it first came out, but the dev insisted that the issue was just that players weren’t used to the map yet. He then reassured fans that they’ll find no shortage of loot on Storm Point.
“When World’s Edge launched, people thought there wasn’t enough loot, when in fact, there were 1k more than KC,” tweeted Reece. “The loot didn’t adjust until Harvester. I expect the same earlier feedback for Storm Point at launch. Trust me, there is plenty of loot on SP.”
When you first drop into a match of Apex Legends, you’ll immediately need to search for some high-tier loot so that you can improve your chances of securing victory. So, it’s reassuring to know that there will be plenty available when Storm Point arrives.
We got a closer look at the new tropical map in the Apex Legends Season 11 gameplay trailer. It’s even bigger than World’s Edge and contains plenty of wildlife nests that you can clear for rewards.
