For the longest time, Apex Legends players have been able to see their character in third-person, thanks to a crafty Easter Egg. However, a new Firing Range glitch seems to kill players, preventing them from doing so, and a Respawn dev has responded.
In a game like Apex Legends where there is a sea of cosmetics, it’s sometimes cool for players to see their unlocked stuff. This has been possible thanks to a long-time Firing Range Easter Egg that allows players to switch to the third person.
However, a recent glitch seems to have put a stop to that, with Apex Legends players complaining that the Easter Egg is now glitched.
As a result, “RobotHavGunz,” a Respawn Technical Game Designer has responded to players that still want to be able to carry out the Apex Legends Firing Range Easter Egg.
Previously, the Firing Range had a secret area that players could get to, and if successful, they could switch to third-person mode by changing their character’s outfit in a bush.
Now, trying to replicate this method only ends in death for the player, leaving them unable to switch their perspective and view their cosmetics.
A Reddit user posed the question as to why this was happening: “Is the firing range dying thing also a bug? I’ve heard it’s intentional, but the 3rd person easter egg can’t be done anymore. It was my favorite way to appreciate skins and animations.”
Then, RobotHavGunz, stepped in to provide some clarity on the situation: “All I will say is that the reason we had to start despawning you in the firing range was absolutely not related to issues with 3P. It had to do with issues around changing characters while still alive and, in some cases, bad things happening as a result.
“The fact that it broke the 3P easter egg was absolutely not intentional. Even if – hypothetically – the 3P easter egg were fixed, you’d still die when changing characters.”
They also said that “you might want to wait a bit (possibly until S11 launch) before testing to see if anything has changed.” So this might just be a temporary problem that Respawn is working on until Season 11 comes around.
Either way, if there are any more developments on the Firing Range Easter Egg then we’ll keep you updated.

Apex Legends devs respond to criticism by adding cheaper Apex Coins option
Respawn Entertainment have responded to player feedback by introducing a cheaper Apex Coins option in the game.
In response to complaints from Apex Legends players about the high cost of Apex Coins, Respawn Entertainment have added a cheaper currency pack option to the game.
Apex Coins are the premium currency in Apex Legends that can you purchase with real money and then spend in order to get your hands on new cosmetic items for your Legends and weapons.
You may have to purchase bigger currency packs in order to get yourself certain items, and the Apex Legends community has been frustrated with the high cost of these. Now, the devs have responded to this issue.
Apex Legends players that don’t have enough currency to unlock a specific item end up having to spend a lot on bigger currency packs. The cheapest bundle that you could get contained 1,000 Apex Coins and would set you back $9.99.
This can be particularly frustrating if you only need to use a small portion of the Apex Coins in the pack. Now, Respawn and EA have addressed this problem by adding the option to purchase currency packs with a 500 coin bundle for $4.99.
Now, you’ll be able to get yourself a decent number of Apex Coins without having to spend an extremely large amount of cash. Players that only need 400 Apex Coins to buy something, and no longer need to spend a whole $10 to do so.
The addition of this option will come as a huge relief to players that were tired of paying for currency that they didn’t need for an insanely high cost.

When did Apex Legends come out?
Apex Legends has become one of the most popular battle royale games in the world, but when did it first release?
Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royales in the world, but when did it come out? Here’s everything you need to know about the game’s original release date.
From PUBG to Fortnite, Apex Legends to Warzone, the battle royale genre has truly dominated the gaming scene for the last five years. In fact, the mode has become so important to shooters that games that launch without one are viewed as missing a vital component.
Each battle royale brings its own spin to the genre, capturing the imagination of players looking for new experiences. For Fortnite, building set it apart from its opponents, while Warzone’s use of class loadouts made it different from anything else on the market.
For Apex Legends, the use of characters with special and unique abilities meant that nothing else on the market could match its high-octane action, and unsurprisingly, thousands still jump on and play years after its launch. But when did Apex Legends actually release?

Apex Legends 1.99 patch notes: Lifeline’s Clinic Easter Egg, bug fixes, more
Apex Legends has a brand-new 1.99 patch which brings bug fixes and new interactive Easter Egg for Lifeline’s Clinic.
Respawn Entertainment have dropped a new patch for Apex Legends Season 13, which includes a variety of changes and even interactive objects for Lifeline’s Town Takeover.
The Apex Legends 1.99 patch is small, but for those who are interested, here are the patch notes for the update.
Lifeline’s Clinic Easter Egg
This patch is very small, and Respawn Entertainment haven’t actually revealed patch notes for what the update actually brought to the game. However, thanks to dataminer Kralindo, we have information on what the update has done.
One of the most interesting changes in the patch is the addition of interactive objects in Lifeline’s Town Takeover.
In Lifeline’s Clinic, players can now play the drums, guitar, and more. Interacting with these objects will play audio, which is a little Easter Egg for Lifeline’s previous occupation as a punk band drummer, hence her drum sticks Heirloom.
Apex Legends 1.99 patch notes
Although there are no official patch notes for the Apex Legends 1.99 patch, luckily Kralindo has gone through the game’s code and figured out some of the changes.
There may be more changes server-side, but here are all the changes Kralindo managed to see:
- Some small Newcastle tactical changes, most likely bug fixes
- Lifeline town takeover interactive objects activated
- 500 Apex Coins enabled in the store (via playlist)
- Really small change for the Replicator
That’s all for the Apex Legends Season 13 1.99 patch. For more, check out how the ranked reset works.
