Apex Legends’ newest map Storm Point was only released at the start of Season 11, but the developers already have some major changes planned for the tropical map in the next update.
Apex Legends Season 11 brought a plethora of fun content for fans to enjoy, and one of the most notable additions was the brand-new Storm Point map. This map has various cool features, including its own wildlife.
Now, Respawn Entertainment have revealed that they have some more plans for this tropical area, with a dev confirming that some major changes will be implemented soon.
Apex Legends level designer Rodney Reece asked fans for feedback on the Storm Point map and then went through any complaints or glitches that he could find. Then on November 10, he promised some updates.
“Thanks to everyone who sent bugs and circle feedback on Storm Point. You made a difference,” the dev stated. “Lots of bugs smashed and lots of circle clean-up will be out in the map soon.”
The developer then elaborated that Respawn will also be making some changes to the Storm Point cover by making the rocks bigger and adding more areas for players to hide behind.
“[We have changed] things like rocks, which are now larger to provide more cover, [and] some areas have new cover and more in general around choke [points].” Reece confirmed that the updates will arrive “long before the season is over.”
The developer then explained that any end-circle “should never end on wildlife locations or buildings.” If that happens players should report that as a bug, and Respawn will look into it.

Apex Legends 1.99 patch notes: Lifeline’s Clinic Easter Egg, bug fixes, more
Apex Legends has a brand-new 1.99 patch which brings bug fixes and new interactive Easter Egg for Lifeline’s Clinic.
Respawn Entertainment have dropped a new patch for Apex Legends Season 13, which includes a variety of changes and even interactive objects for Lifeline’s Town Takeover.
The Apex Legends 1.99 patch is small, but for those who are interested, here are the patch notes for the update.
Lifeline’s Clinic Easter Egg
This patch is very small, and Respawn Entertainment haven’t actually revealed patch notes for what the update actually brought to the game. However, thanks to dataminer Kralindo, we have information on what the update has done.
One of the most interesting changes in the patch is the addition of interactive objects in Lifeline’s Town Takeover.
In Lifeline’s Clinic, players can now play the drums, guitar, and more. Interacting with these objects will play audio, which is a little Easter Egg for Lifeline’s previous occupation as a punk band drummer, hence her drum sticks Heirloom.
Apex Legends 1.99 patch notes
Although there are no official patch notes for the Apex Legends 1.99 patch, luckily Kralindo has gone through the game’s code and figured out some of the changes.
There may be more changes server-side, but here are all the changes Kralindo managed to see:
- Some small Newcastle tactical changes, most likely bug fixes
- Lifeline town takeover interactive objects activated
- 500 Apex Coins enabled in the store (via playlist)
- Really small change for the Replicator
That’s all for the Apex Legends Season 13 1.99 patch. For more, check out how the ranked reset works.

Apex Legends hit the ground running when it launched with eight different characters to choose from in its battle royale offering. Most picked Legends in Apex Legends Season 13
5. Bloodhound – 8.4%
Again, with the influx of new Apex Legends players, Bloodhound is a great character to use for new players in Season 13.
Bloodhound nearly always stays in and around the 8-11% mark as a season goes on, and they currently stand at 8.4%. They are easily the top Recon class to use in Apex Legends, thanks to their tracking tools and incredible skills, plus, their Beast of the Hunt Ultimate is priceless.
4. Pathfinder – 9.5%
Pathfinder has consistently been one of Apex Legends’ top five picks at 9.5%, and counting, for quite some time now.
As a Recon class, Pathfinder simply excels in movements and traversing the game’s various maps. His Grappling Hook and Zipline Gun are simply invaluable assets that will help any team in a pinch – either because of the circle or a third-party situation. He consistently manages to stay in the top 5 as a result.
3. Valkyrie – 10%
Despite getting some nerfs, Valkyrie is in the top 5 Legend pick rates for Season 13 with 10%, as she is the movement Queen. Her Jetpack Passive allows players to escape any kind of situation, which is crucial for survivability.
As well as her Passive, her Skyward Dive Ultimate is also great for mobility. This ability is the best rotational tool in all of Apex Legends, as it allows her and the team to relocate from a bad position or situation, into a good one.
Lastly, Valkyrie’s Tactical is also extremely useful for being aggressive and getting enemies out of camping spots, so long as you have enough room above you to launch the Missile Swarm.
2. Wraith – 10.2%
Another starting Legend, Wraith has been a consistent pick throughout Apex Legends’ lifetime, and she has taken the number two spot with a 10.2% pick rate in Season 13.
Wraith’s stand-out features are her ability to get out of trouble very quickly – teammates included. Her abilities allow her to sense danger, become temporarily invulnerable, and create portals to escape predicaments. It’s easy to see why Wraith continues to be an absolute fan favorite in Apex Legends Season 13.
1. Octane – 11.4% – Most picked Legend in Apex Legends Season 13
With an 11.4% pick rate, the speed demon takes the number one spot, continuing his reign as one of the most popular Legends in Season 13, fluctuating between the top two places.
Aside from his amusing quips, he is the perfect balance of offense and defense. Despite being regarded as an offensive Legend, Octane can greatly increase his sprint speed which is useful for both attack and running away.
But most Octane users thrive on his Launch Pad Ultimate which can send him, and friendly players, high up into the air.
That covers all the picks in Apex Legends Season 13. As always, buffs and nerfs will come and go throughout the season, altering the game’s meta, and subsequently, Legend pick rates.
We’ll be sure to keep this updated regularly so you can stay on top of the in picks and don’t forget to check out our guide on the best Legends to choose in Season 13.

Apex Legends Mobile leak claims Solos mode arrives before PC & console
Apex Legends players have been calling for a Solos mode for many seasons, but according to leaks mobile players could be getting it first.
Apex Legends Mobile leaks are suggesting that the handheld version of the battle royale will be getting a Solos mode before PC and Console.
Apex Legends offers players a variety of ways to play the battle royale. Those who like to enjoy casual games can hop into public games, while those who like a challenge can indulge in the Ranked Leagues.
Having said that, Apex Legends players have been wanting a Solos mode ever since the Iron Crown Event back in Season 2, however, it seems mobile will be getting it first.
Back in Apex Legends Season 2, players were given the Iron Crown Event, which saw a Solo LTM introduced into the game. Ever since it was removed, it has yet to return.
This has left Apex players wanting a Solos mode for over ten seasons, and according to leaks, Apex Legends Mobile Season 2 could be getting the highly requested mode first.
This of course caused disappointing reactions from the community, who have been hoping that the mode would be introduced on consoles and PC as well. Thordan Smash sarcastically commented “Nice that Apex Legends is finally getting Solo Mode…for mobile,” along with a sad face emoji.
Having said that, the dataminer did reply to Thordan’s reaction, stating that the Solos mode from Apex Mobile is “probably an LTM.” While this could be true, Thordan Smash replied again saying that he’d “gladly take solos as an LTM again” on consoles and PC.
We’ll have to wait and see how this leaked Solos mode will be introduced on Apex Legends Mobile. It does seem that the handheld version of the battle royale is getting more and more exclusive content, especially as the second mobile-exclusive Legend was also leaked for Season 2.
