Most of the weapons in Apex Legends are taken from the Titanfall franchise, and Respawn Entertainment have teased the arrival of the CAR SMG in the battle royale.

Apex Legends Season 9 will bring a wide variety of new content to the battle royale, including a new weapon called the Bocek Bow. Now, Respawn Entertainment have hinted at the arrival of another gun in the future.

The devs posted about the new Arena mode on the battle royale’s website, and they also included a gif of a new weapon selection menu where fans noticed the inclusion of the CAR SMG from the Titanfall series.

The CAR SMG made its debut in the first Titanfall, and also appeared in the sequel. The back-end of this weapon could be seen in the bottom left hand corner of the new Apex Legends weapon selection menu.

Previously, the EPG from Titanfall was also leaked for this game, and most of the weapons in Apex are taken directly from the Titanfall universe, so it makes sense that the CAR SMG will reappear.

This weapon was notable for its incredible rate of fire which allowed players to score kills fairly quickly. It was extremely beneficial in close quarters, and the dampened recoil helped with accuracy over different ranges.

While the Bocek Bow is coming with Season 9, it’s not clear when exactly this new SMG will arrive in the battle royale. It seems like we’ll probably have to wait until at least Season 10 before it becomes available.

It might arrive even later than that, as Respawn Entertainment sometimes tease weapons a couple of seasons in advance. This means that we might end up waiting until Season 11 or 12 to get our hands on it.

We’ll keep checking for any updates regarding this, along with more weapon announcements for future seasons, and will inform you as soon as we learn something new.
