The Apex Legends Evolution Collection event added plenty of fresh content to Respawn’s battle royale, but it also brought with it some serious connectivity issues. The devs have now launched a patch to “meaningfully address” the issues.

Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence has been a hit among the community, with streamers like Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff even leaving Warzone in favor of Reswpan’s take on the battle royale.

But the latest season hasn’t been without its problems. The Evolution Collection event accidentally introduced a number of connectivity issues in the game.

After a lengthy wait, the developers have announced that a patch to help ease the issues is now live.

Ever since the Evolution Event came to the game on September 14, players began reporting issues with the connection in their lobbies that were making the game “unplayable.”

Server issues have been causing players to lag in matches, and in some cases even be teleported to completely different parts of the map. There have also been reports of extremely high pings when joining a game, as well as packet loss.

Respawn confirmed on their Twitter page that a patch is now live to tackle the problems. While they don’t claim that the update will completely fix all connection issues, it will make noticeable improvements.

Many Reddit users have confirmed a much more stable experience since the update was launched.

The developer also mentioned that they are aware of a new problem where animated banner poses are causing games to crash. A solution for this, as well as other general fixes, is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21.

In a later tweet, Respawn thanked the community for its patience while they worked on fixing the issues plaguing the game. They added that they were “making progress” in solving the “higher-than-normal” crashes being reported.
