Apex Legends’ players may be wondering how they can use the Firing Range to fight against eachother. Whether you are looking to play against a friend or foe, here’s our guide on how you can set up a 1v1 in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends is a very competitive game, with a lot of mechanics that players need to conquer. Whether you’re looking to improve in Ranked Leagues, or even just get high kill games in pubs, practice makes perfect.

You could just keep queing into games and practicing in the battle royale mode, but a 1v1 against a similarly skilled player can be even more rewarding. With that being said, here’s how you can set up a 1v1 in Apex Legends.

How to set up a 1v1 in Apex Legends

In order to 1v1 in Apex Legends, players must use the Firing Range. This is not only the easiest way to do it, but also there are no private lobbies available for console.

The Firing range allows players to pick whatever loadout and Legend they want. It also means that you will respawn upon death, so you don’t have to wait around.

  1. Invite whoever you wish to 1v1 into your lobby
  2. Select Firing Range in the game mode options and start it up
  3. Once in the Firing Range, select your Legend and loadout
  4. Decide on an area to fight on, most people use the open space behind the dummies
  5. When you are both ready and in poisiton, simply go to the options menu and select “Toggle Friendly Fire”
  6. This will allow you to damage eachother, good luck!

As you can select whatever weapons and items to use, you’ll want to set up some rules. For example submachine guns only, purple armor only, no healing items, or maybe even melee only.

This is great for players who are trying to get better with certain weapons and playstyles. You can also set a 1v1 up for someone who may be question your skill, allowing you to settle the issue.

Are Apex Legends servers down? Current server status

We’ve found a great way to check Apex Legends’ server status for all regions so you can see whether or not the Apex Legends servers are down.

Published

on

Like any other popular multiplayer game, Apex Legends has its fair share of bugs and server issues. However, we’ve found a great way for players to check their region’s Apex Legends server status, so let’s get into how you can check if the servers are down.

Apex Legends is nearing Season 12, which looks to bring new content to the game such as a Collection Event and map updates. Previously, big updates have caused server issues for the devs, however, in recent times, the game has been fairly smooth for players.

Although the servers have been relatively stable recently, players encounter these issues reasonably often and may even wonder whether it’s an issue on their end.

If you encounter any server issues, we have an excellent way for you to check the Apex Legends server status.

Are Apex Legends servers down?

Currently, there are no issues being reported about mass server outages or problems. Apex hasn’t had many significant updates since the launch of Season 11, but we expect players to experience some instability, perhaps when Season 12 drops.

Whenever you are experiencing server issues, there are many ways for you to check the server status for Apex Legends, so that you can figure out the root cause.

How to check the Apex Legends server status

One of the most obvious ways to stay updated on whether or not the Apex Legends servers are down is by following updates on Apex Legends Twitter account and the development team at Respawn.

Usually, one of those accounts will be updating and communicating to players about any server issues going on. Further, you can also follow our dedicated Apex Legends Twitter account, alphaINTEL, which is a great place to stay updated with anything Apex-related.

If you don’t have Twitter or have checked and haven’t seen any update on whether or not the Apex Legends servers are down, perhaps the problems you are experiencing are that of your setup or region.

How to check Apex Legends server status

There is a great way to check the regional Apex Legends server status for these specific problems so that you can see whether the issues you are experiencing are regional or due to your internet service provider.

The way to do so is through a handy website called apexlegendsstatus, which will give you a breakdown of server status in all the available regions, as well as all the platforms you could be playing the game on.

The website will even tell you how much latency (ms) in each server, indicating its stability.

Further, you can also report issues if there isn’t too much notice about the issue on the website, which will be added to a live report map you can check to see if people in your region are also experiencing the issue.

So, if you’re having issues, check this website to see whether it’s the platform or server you are playing that is having problems, or if these are all up and running, you can put it down to your setup.

Well, there you have it. This is the best way you can check the Apex Legends server status. For more on Apex, check out the teased map changes coming in Season 12.

Who owns Apex Legends battle royale?

Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale that’s available across all platforms, but who owns Apex Legends?

Published

on

Apex Legends has gained a lot of popularity over the last year, and with new players getting to grips with the game every day, some may be wondering who the developers are.

Apex Legends is about to enter Season 12, with the game releasing way back in February 2019.

With the recent news regarding Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision, players may be wondering what it means for their favorite games, like Call of Duty and Apex Legends.

As well as this, some players may just want to know the identity of the developers who own Apex Legends, as new players are joining every day. Luckily, we have the answer covered for you.

Who owns Apex Legends?

Apex Legends is developed by Respawn Entertainment, a development studio under EA founded by Jason West and Vince Zampella, who originally co-founded Infinity Ward, the development studio behind multiple Call of Duty games, with its latest being Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019).

Ultimately, Respawn Entertainment have no affiliation with Activision, and so the recent Microsoft deal doesn’t affect the ownership of the game at all.

Respawn Entertainment is also the studio behind the Titanfall franchise, which is very closely connected to Apex Legends, as the battle royale game takes place in the Titanfall universe.

Further, Respawn isn’t just known for creating FPS games, but the development studio also created Star Wars: Fallen Order, a story game held in high regard.

One thing Respawn Entertainment is great at is communicating with the community and keeping players informed with news and updates through social media.

Apex Legends is constantly being updated with fresh content for players keeping the game fun and drawing new players in, which is a testimony to how hard the team at Respawn Entertainment work.

With four battle royale maps, 19 Legends, exclusive maps for the Arenas mode, and a consistent flow of cosmetics, Apex Legends offers loads for players, and Respawn Entertainment is the team behind it all.
