Apex Legends leak claims new Explosive Lobber Hop-Up is coming soon
A new Apex Legends leak has emerged, suggesting that Respawn Entertainment may be planning to add the Explosive Lobber Hop-Up to the battle royale title in Season 13.
Apex Legends Season 13 will bring a plethora of brand-new content for players to enjoy, with recent teasers indicating the arrival of the Legend Newcastle as well as some changes to the Storm Point BR map.
Now, a new leak seems to suggest that the developers might be planning to add a new Hop-Up in Season 13. We’ll go over everything that has been revealed about the Explosive Lobber for Apex Legends.
Back in January, notable data miner ‘KralRindo’ revealed some code in the Apex Legends files that detailed two new Hop-Ups and laser sights that come in different colors. One of the leaked Hop-Ups was the Explosive Lobber for the L-STAR LMG.
Reddit user ‘IUmPotatos’ looked through the Divided Moon map leak from March and pointed out a Hop-Up slot for the L-STAR in the clip. This could mean that Respawn are testing the Explosive Lobber so that they can add it in Season 13.
The L-STAR LMG makes use of weapon stacks instead of standard ammo. While the exact effect of this Apex Legends Hop-Up hasn’t been revealed, it may allow the weapon to fire explosive rounds.
If the L-Star does receive a brand-new Hop-Up in Season 13 then its popularity and pick rate may get a major boost. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that these are just leaks, so take them with a grain of salt.
It’s possible that the Explosive Lobber Hop-Up may have been scrapped altogether, and its code remains in the Apex Legends game files. Only time will tell if Respawn will actually add it to the battle royale title.
