Apex Legends leak gives first look at Fuse’s Ultimate ability
With Apex Legends Season 8 arriving soon, there has been a lot of speculation about a potential new character named Fuse joining the roster. Some new leaks have given us a first look at the Legend’s Ultimate ability.
Apex Legends Season 7 is almost over and the next big update is just around the corner. There are rumors about a potential Season 8 Legend named Fuse. Plus some new leaks have surfaced that show the abilities of this character.
While Fuse’s arrival in Season 8 has yet to be confirmed, many rumors are suggesting that their abilities will revolve around explosives. Now some new leaks have teased what might be the new Legend’s Ultimate ability.
Fuse’s Ultimate ability leaked for Apex Legends Season 8
This leak came in the form of a video from data-miner SomeoneWhoLeaks, which shows off an explosive attack that was formerly called ‘Firebomb.’ The leaker describes it as “shooting some fish in a barrel.”
The clip features an undetonated explosive, which takes about 55 damage to detonate. While ‘Firebomb’ was a title also given to another leaked ability, it’s understandable why the devs chose to use it for this attack, due to the ring of fire left behind after the explosion.
Rumors suggest that Fuse’s Ultimate ability will be shown off in the next in-game teaser in order to create excitement for the Legend’s debut. This lines up with how they hyped Octane and Horizon before their own arrivals.
When Season 7 was starting off, Respawn formed a ton of excitement among fans for Horizon’s introduction by scattering her Gravity Lifts throughout the Arena. So they’re going to do something similar for Fuse.
As mentioned in the tweet, the teaser will go live on Saturday, January 16, and you will be able to check it out while playing Apex Legends. The devs will drop Fuse’s bombs in rings 5 and 6. You’ll have to avoid getting caught in the blast.
The data-miner also mentioned a few more exciting details about the Ultimate ability. Apparently, the explosion is capable of dealing 70 damage to anyone caught in it, while the fire will chip away 60 HP.
This means that you can use this ability to dish out a total of 130 damage to your opponents. While that can end badly for you if you find yourself within the explosion’s radius, it still sounds like a fun new obstacle.
Fuse will hopefully end up being an impressive new addition to the Apex Legends roster that will win over fans like Horizon did. We’ll be sure to update you once we learn more.
