Apex Legends leak reveals future Legend Ash’s Ultimate ability

Future Apex Legends character Ash becomes the next Legend whose abilities have leaked during a play-test with pros.

Apex Legends Ash Ultimate Ability leak

Once again, data miners have leaked a video showing what seems to be Ash’s ultimate ability, a leaked Legend from the Titanfall series who will be arriving in the future.

In the latest of Apex Legends leaks, popular data miner @Biast12 revealed a video showing off a play-test version of Ash’s ultimate ability called ‘Phase Breach.’ This new video has surfaced just a week after future Legend Blisk’s abilities were leaked. Blisk’s abilities were revealed in a similar fashion, clearly being discreetly filmed during a play-test.

The ability seems to act similarly to Wraith’s portal. However, the Phase Breach only works one way – dashing you forward allowing you and your teammates to phase from where Ash activated the ability.

Perhaps the word ‘breach’ suggests that the dash will be able to take you through doors and maybe even walls. If so, this ability will be extremely useful, especially in the late-game. Players will be able to Phase Breach, enter a room, maybe throw a caustic ultimate, and take over the position.

The only downside to this ultimate is that once you use it, you won’t be able to double back and return to where you came from, so it must be used cautiously. Also, keep in mind that this is a play-test and not the final version of the Legend’s ultimate ability, so it is all subject to change. The final version is most likely to be a similar idea/concept to the leaked video, however.

It is unknown when we will be seeing this Legend in Apex, but after her reveal in the Season 5 quest she has been highly anticipated by many Titanfall fans.

Ash in Season 5 quest ending

Video footage of Ash’s tactical and passive abilities is yet to be leaked. However, data miners and players alike are certain she will not be the Legend arriving in Season 9. This is because she will be the announcer of leaked game mode ‘Arenas,’ a 3v3 mode said to be coming next season.

That’s all we have so far regarding footage of Ash’s abilities. We’ll be sure to update you if we learn more about Ash, her kit, or when she’ll be coming to Apex Legends.

Best FOV Setting for Apex Legends

Apex Legends has a variety of settings which can enhance experience, FOV is one of these options but what’s the best number to have it at?

Published

Apex Legends has a variety of settings for players to customize the experience to their liking completely. This is great, especially when it comes to FOV, as even console players can change this setting to give them the best advantage possible.

Apex Legends developers, Respawn Entertainment, are known for their great communication with the players, implementing requested changes, and even settings.

Unlike many other games, most Apex Legends settings that we see on PC are also on consoles, allowing controller players a wide variety of options to compete with those on more powerful hardware systems. For those unaware, this also goes for FOV, which could be a game-changer for your experience in Apex Legends if you haven’t customized it yet.

Apex Legends FOV best setting

What is FOV?

FOV stands for field of view, which is essentially the size of the viewing angle on the screen. If this setting is higher, it will allow for a bigger viewing angle, letting players see more around them. If this setting is lower, it will decrease the viewing angle.

The default FOV on Apex Legends is set to 70, which to most experienced players is extremely low. The setting goes all the way up to 110.

What Apex Legends FOV setting is best?

Depending on your setup, the sweet spot or best FOV seems to be between 96 and 104. If you play on a bigger TV, you’re going to want to have your FOV on the higher end of the scale, as the bigger screen will allow you to still see up to longer ranges even with a higher FOV.

Of course, like all settings, it’s completely up to preference and your set up. However, one obvious thing is anything under 70 FOV is a huge disadvantage, as it will completely limit your ability to read what’s going on around you.

Apex Legends Best FOV

A high FOV on a smaller screen or monitor may distort your viewing and prevent you from seeing things at longer ranges, so in this case, you may want to keep your FOV in the 90s.

Ultimately, having your FOV between 90-104 will put you at an advantage over those with the default or lower, as you will be able to see more on the screen and react much quicker to situations. Lower FOV’s can feel too zoomed in and restricted, but FOV’s that are too high can feel too distant, so find what works best for you.

After setting a new, higher FOV, you may also want to play around with your sensitivity and increase that, too, as these settings scale, and a higher FOV might make your original sensitivity feel too slow.

Apex Legends Legacy reveal trailer: The Arena, Valkyrie, and more

Apex Legends Legacy launch trailer

Respawn Entertainment officially releases the Legacy, Season 9 launch trailer showing off the upcoming Arena mode and new Legend Valkyrie for Apex Legends.

The latest video from Apex Legends developers is full of upcoming content in Season 9: Legacy. Although this launch trailer does not feature gameplay, the animated three-minute video does show some off some content we will see in Legacy.

Since the trailer’s release, those among the community have been breaking it down and identifying the Arena mode maps, Ash, and new Legend Valkyrie.

Legacy Trailer The Arena

During the past month, Apex Legends have been teasing the upcoming 3v3 Arena mode in various ways, one of which took place in the Firing Range. Finally, players have been given a glimpse into the maps we will see in this mode and a more detailed look at possible future Legend, Ash.

At the very start of the trailer, the Arena logo is shown, with Ash saying it’s “time for a new game.” Developer Ryan Rigney provided some insight into this new mode just days before this new trailer, basically hinting that the new mode will be much more than an LTM, “supporting it as a full game,” and could even have its own ranked playlist.

After the trailer was released, the community analyzed parts and found out even more information on the Arena mode.

Twitter user @Spearheadpr_ pointed out an interesting frame from the trailer, which shows Ash selecting maps by Seasons. This could mean we will potentially be seeing some previous Season POI’s that have been out of the game or changed turned into Arena maps.

Further, @Shrugtal also weighed in on the trailer, presenting one of the maps shown in the trailer that could be an Arena-specific location potentially called “Exoplanet.”

The image shows a small map with similar terrain to that of World’s Edge, and perhaps this is the map teased in Apex Legends glitchy Instagram video with the Phase Runner.

This wasn’t the only Arena map teased, as the trailer also showed off the map seen in the 100 million players video, which many believed to be a map change for Olympus. It seems the location shown in the video was, in fact, a smaller Arena mode map with Mirage Voyage in the center.

This trailer pretty much confirmed that the Arena mode would feature exclusive, smaller maps, some of which we are familiar, and some of which are completely new. It also confirmed that the Arena would be 3v3, as Ash is shown looking at a screen with two squads of three.

In more detail throughout the trailer, Ash was also shown, but most specifically at the end, where she pulled back her hood.

This is also the first time we have seen so much of Ash, allowing players to see how different she looks from the Titanfall version, generating excitement for her potential future as a Legend in the Apex Games.

Apex Legends Legacy Trailer Valkyrie

The trailer also teased some aspects of Valkyrie’s abilities, skins, and maybe even a finisher of hers, much like the one teased in the Instagram camera videos.

Firstly, Valkyrie is first shown flying through the air in her supposed launch bundle skin, which features her father’s helmet.

Valkyrie is then shown finishing off Gibraltar, kicking him in the face and then flying off, leaving Gibraltar in the VTOL Jet smoke, which is again similar to one of the Videos posted on the Apex Legends Instagram page that @Biast12 believes is one of her finishers called “the Afterburner.”

Valkyrie is also shown shooting missiles, which could be her ultimate or tactical ability, previously leaked as “Cluster Missiles.” At the very end, Valkyrie is then shown shooting at Fuse with the new weapon for Legacy, the Bocek Bow.

The gameplay reveal for the Arena is set for April 26th. For more on Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy, check out our article on Valkyrie’s leaked abilities and stay tuned on Charlie INTEL.

Apex Legends dev confirms plans to buff L_STAR in Season 9

Respawn Entertainment are planning some major improvements for the L-STAR weapon in Apex Legends Season 9.

L-Star will be changed in Apex Legends Season 9

In response to the less-than stellar reception of the L-STAR Energy LMG in Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment are looking to buff the weapon for the upcoming Season 9.

The L-STAR is an Energy LMG in Apex Legends that functions with an ‘overload’ mechanic. This means that rather than having a standard magazine, it makes use of weapon stacks at the cost of having to cool the weapon down after a bit.

While this makes the weapon incredibly useful during the early parts of the match, many players often opt to switch to another weapon afterwards. As a result, Respawn Entertainment have decided to work on the gun for Season 9.

L-STAR in Apex Legends

Apex Legends players have been petitioning to give the L-STAR some base ammo. This is because if someone steals your ammo stacks, then you’ll be left completely defenseless in the midst of battle.

While Respawn aren’t currently planning to add that, they’ve reassured fans that they’re working on some major L-STAR changes for Season 9, and these will arrive with the new content in the Legacy update.

“It’s not a problem every time because guns have their ammo spawn next to them, but it definitely is too common that you get one with 0 ammo and can’t use it,” wrote developer David Bocek.

L-STAR in Apex Legends

Bocek feels that adding flat ammo for the weapon will result in players abusing it to farm energy ammo. So instead, they have a different solution planned that “has some weirdness” and “has the potential for lots of bugs.”

While he didn’t give too much detail about what this big change will be, he made it clear that they’ve already got some initial work done, but it wasn’t ready for the next season launch.

The L-STAR has been buffed recently as well. Hopefully, the new changes will get rid of the problems plaguing the weapon.
