A recent leak for Apex Legends in Season 10 has presented the community with beautiful images of a rumored Tropical Island map that could release as early as next season.

Apex Legends has had a few interesting leaks over the past week thanks to the Evolution Collection Event update that introduced new code for dataminers to dig around and expose.

As well as a 3D model for Wattson’s Heirloom, leakers have also revealed further details about the rumored Tropical Island map that we could be seeing very soon, including the new Legend to go with it and some colorful images.

The rumor surrounding a Tropical Island map has been floating around for some time now, with dataminers suggesting it will be released in Season 11. At the time of this post, Respawn Entertainment hasn’t revealed anything about a new map, but as the source of these images is possibly from an “inside leak,” there is a high possibility of them being credible.

The last map that was introduced in Apex Legends was Olympus in Season 7 when the Legend Horizon was also released. Now, in Season 10, there is even a new teaser on Olympus hinting at the new map.

Reddit user DropoutCollective, also known as Thordon Smash, posted leaked images of the Tropical Island map on September 14 on the “ApexUncovered” subreddit.

Although there are only three images, each of them provides great details about what players can expect with this new map, from wildlife to the general terrain and theme of the map.

The first image actually gives us a great idea of the wildlife on this map, as a Prowler can be seen in the middle of the image, as well as a mud mound which Thordon Smash says is a Prowler nest.

Further, users in the comments are suspecting that the building on the right of the image looks like some sort of animal enclosure.

Perhaps this is where the Prowlers are being kept, potentially relocated here after the disturbance of World’s Edge which was teased in the most recent Evolution Collection Event trailer when Bloodhound finds bloody Prowler tracks.

Another leaked image shows an expansive sea and beachy coastline with palm trees, which is most likely the edge of the map.

One thing this image does confirm is that the map will be a tropical island surrounded by water. The image also shows off a storm in the skybox, which could be important for the map’s lore and story.

Further, we already know Tridents will be available on the map due to previous leaks of a muddy texture for the vehicle, and this would make sense considering Tridents could be the best form of travel over the water.

Lastly, the second image in the set of three shows off a portion of the map layout, which doesn’t give much away apart from that Water will play a huge role when it comes to breaking the map up.

It seems water will run through the map and play a consistent role within the landscape, perhaps being an inconvenience that players will have to get around.

That’s all the details we can gain from these leaked images of the new Tropical Island map. For more, be sure to check out our article on how to get modded weapons in Season 10.
