Apex Legends leak reveals Wattson Heirloom 3D model

Apex Legends dataminers have revealed the model for Wattson’s Heirloom thanks to the code introduced by the recent update.

Apex Legends dropped their highly anticipated Evolution Collection Event update on September 14, not only giving players some new content to enjoy right now but also providing dataminers with the code for the Wattson Heirloom.

Apex Legends Evolution Collection Event update introduced some great new content for players. As well as “Big Maude” taking its place outside of Lava City on World’s Edge, players were also given a new collection of cosmetics along with Rampart’s Heirloom.

One thing every update provides is new code for dataminers to dig around and uncover upcoming content.

This time it’s Wattson’s Heirloom, which dataminers have actually found a 3D model for.

Apex Legends Dataminers have been pretty accurate about upcoming content in the past, previously revealing Rampart’s Heirloom as a wrench and that it would be coming in Season 10.

The leaks for this season’s Collection Even update revealed Wattson’s Heirloom, which also hints that she will indeed be the next Legend to receive one.

Apex Legends Wattson Heirloom

Dataminer GarretLeaks is behind the Wattson Heirloom leak, as he posted an image of the 3D model and some suggestions for what it will be like.

Unfortunately, the current version of Wattson’s Heirloom doesn’t have any textures or details, but it still gives players a great idea of what they can expect when it releases, which could be as soon as Season 11.

The design has been compared to a Speedometer. The device Police units use to track the MPH of a vehicle. The Heirloom is obviously not going to be a Speedometer, but the similarities are quite amusing.

In Garret’s latest YouTube video about the Heirloom, it is interesting that he describes it as a “prodding taser type of thing.”

Further, another dataminer by the name of Shrugtal has provided further details about the Heirloom, presenting its name in the files and a work in progress inspect animation.

Shrugtal revealed the Heirloom is called “nessie_gadget” in the files and Wattson actually strokes and scratches it in some of the animations. Shrugtal believes the device will probably be “both a taser and a Nessie Tamagotchi that has Nessie AI on the screen that reacts to her actions.”

This is an exciting concept and definitely fits Wattson’s Nessie-loving personality. It is good to hear, especially if you’re a Wattson main that the Heirloom will be more than just a taser, but actually have a lot of her personality within it.

This gives her Heirloom a lot of depth. It seems the developers are moving more towards putting the Legend’s personalities into their Heirlooms, especially as Rampart‘s wrench emphasizes her love for bubblegum.

We’ll have to wait for more information and details regarding Wattson’s Heirloom as we edge closer to Season 11. Further updates will allow dataminers to see progress with the design.

Best Apex Legends weapon skins with the cleanest iron sights

Apex Legends has some great weapon skins for players to craft, but some actually offer better iron sights than others.

Published

Some of the Apex Legends weapon skins offer a cleaner iron sight compared to others, here are some of the best you can craft.

Apex Legends is well known for its cosmetics, with new Twitch Prime skins coming out every month, as well as various events every season that offer new Legend and weapon skins.

As well as this, the game offers skins for players to craft without having to go to the store. These skins are available all year round and can be found in the “Legends” and “Loadout” categories of the lobby screen.

Some of these craftable weapon skins actually offer players an advantage, especially the skins for the best weapons in the game.

While it isn’t a huge advantage, the weapon skins in this list offer players a more clear iron sight that takes up less of the screen compared to the default.

Luckily, Reddit user mnkymnk has posted a video showcasing some of the best weapon skins that players can use in Apex Legends for a better iron sight. As well as these, we’ve also thrown a few more in for other weapons.

Best Apex Legends weapon skins for better iron sights

The following list is the best weapon skins for players to use in Apex Legends. Keep in mind that not every weapon is on the list, as some weapon skins don’t actually offer any better craftable iron sights.

For example, the best Flatline skins for better iron sights are from a previous Battle Pass and the store, which can not be crafted.

  • Prowler – Dark Fright
  • Longbow – McFly or Pharaoh’s Curse
  • 30-30 Repeater – Wild West or Bullet Train
  • Wingman – The Death Ray or Merciless Wing
  • R-99 – The Kill Switch or Outlands Avalanche
  • Peacekeeper – The Lonestar or The Superstar
  • Sentinel – Biomechanics or Golden Spine
  • The Alternator – LED Rez or The Galvanizer

All these skins will offer players a more clear visual, reducing the amount of space the weapon’s iron sights take up on your screen. In theory, with these skins you should be able to see more of your target while aiming down sights, thus improving your performance.

These skins will require you to craft them with Crafting Metals. As these are all Legendary skins, they will cost your 1,200 Crafting Metals to obtain.

Make sure you check out our guide on Crafting Metals so you know how to get the skins you want.

Are Apex Legends servers down? Current server status

We’ve found a great way to check Apex Legends’ server status for all regions so you can see whether or not the Apex Legends servers are down.

Published

on

Like any other popular multiplayer game, Apex Legends has its fair share of bugs and server issues. However, we’ve found a great way for players to check their region’s Apex Legends server status, so let’s get into how you can check if the servers are down.

Apex Legends is nearing Season 12, which looks to bring new content to the game such as a Collection Event and map updates. Previously, big updates have caused server issues for the devs, however, in recent times, the game has been fairly smooth for players.

Although the servers have been relatively stable recently, players encounter these issues reasonably often and may even wonder whether it’s an issue on their end.

If you encounter any server issues, we have an excellent way for you to check the Apex Legends server status.

Are Apex Legends servers down?

Currently, there are no issues being reported about mass server outages or problems. Apex hasn’t had many significant updates since the launch of Season 11, but we expect players to experience some instability, perhaps when Season 12 drops.

Whenever you are experiencing server issues, there are many ways for you to check the server status for Apex Legends, so that you can figure out the root cause.

How to check the Apex Legends server status

One of the most obvious ways to stay updated on whether or not the Apex Legends servers are down is by following updates on Apex Legends Twitter account and the development team at Respawn.

Usually, one of those accounts will be updating and communicating to players about any server issues going on. Further, you can also follow our dedicated Apex Legends Twitter account, alphaINTEL, which is a great place to stay updated with anything Apex-related.

If you don’t have Twitter or have checked and haven’t seen any update on whether or not the Apex Legends servers are down, perhaps the problems you are experiencing are that of your setup or region.

How to check Apex Legends server status

There is a great way to check the regional Apex Legends server status for these specific problems so that you can see whether the issues you are experiencing are regional or due to your internet service provider.

The way to do so is through a handy website called apexlegendsstatus, which will give you a breakdown of server status in all the available regions, as well as all the platforms you could be playing the game on.

The website will even tell you how much latency (ms) in each server, indicating its stability.

Further, you can also report issues if there isn’t too much notice about the issue on the website, which will be added to a live report map you can check to see if people in your region are also experiencing the issue.

So, if you’re having issues, check this website to see whether it’s the platform or server you are playing that is having problems, or if these are all up and running, you can put it down to your setup.

Well, there you have it. This is the best way you can check the Apex Legends server status. For more on Apex, check out the teased map changes coming in Season 12.
