The Apex Legends community has discovered some interesting details from the latest Legacy gameplay trailer, such as upcoming skins, skybox changes, and some new information on the Arena mode.
Apart from revealing how the Arena will work, the new Legend Valkyrie, and smaller details like the Airdrop changes, further information has been discovered surrounding the skybox changes and when we can expect a ranked playlist for the Arena.
During the latest gameplay trailer, many in the community also pointed out the unreleased skins shown. Although players are used to seeing battle pass skins in the upcoming season trailers, perhaps these skins are actually associated with the new Arena mode.
Apex Legends Legacy skybox changes
One of these details Garret noticed was the change in the skybox for both World’s Edge and Olympus, making a change in lighting for both maps.
This is not the first time we have seen a skybox and lighting change in a map for Apex Legends, as Season 8’s Kings Canyon also saw a change from the original skybox and lighting.
In the trailer, a short clip is shown of Thermal Station on World’s Edge, which presents a much lighter, clear blue sky. World’s Edge previously had a clouded, stormy sky, but it seems the weather will be clearing up on planet Talos.
Towards the end of the trailer, where Valkyrie is introduced, we see a clip of her dangling off the side of the Hammond Labs chimney, presenting a new skybox.
Olympus was previously a bright, blue, cloudy day sky. However, this new trailer seems to show off a more starry evening sky, getting darker and darker as you reach the middle. The sky is full of stars, and although it isn’t as blue as before, the sides of the sky remain cloudy and light blue, while the center gains a new spacey feel to it.
During the past few weeks, with all the leaks and rumors surrounding the Arena, there was also potential for the new 3v3 mode to have a ranked playlist, according to some dataminers who found hints in the code.
Respawn has now confirmed this. However, a date for its arrival is yet to be decided. Respawn Entertainment told The Loadout during a press briefing that Arena’s will have a ranked playlist, but it will be coming in a later update.
Although some may be disappointed, this is probably the best way to introduce the new mode, as at the end of the day, it also took a while for the battle royale to get Ranked Leagues in the first place.
Without a ranked playlist, it will allow everyone to get to know the mode properly, have some fun with it, and fully understand it before getting into competitive games.
Apex Legends Legacy skins
Lastly, the new gameplay trailer showed off a heap of new skins coming into the game during the Legacy season. However, these are believed to be Arena exclusive skins and not from the upcoming battle pass.
The trailer showed off new skins for Octane, Wraith, Rampart, and more, with Octane’s yellow and black cat skin receiving the most attention.
Rampart’s skin also looks like it will suit nicely with the Bocek Bow’s legendary skin, as they both feature a similar look with white and orange accents.
Since the trailer, many in the community were quick to point out that these skins will most likely be gained from the Arena, completing challenges to unlock them.
However, we did get to see the level 100 battle pass Devotion skin that will be coming in the Legacy update and Valkyrie’s bundle skin that will all arrive May 4th when Legacy drops.

Who is the most popular Apex Legends character? Season 10 pick rates
Apex Legends Season 10 is well into its stride, but who has dominated the pick rates for Season 10 of Respawn’s battle royale?
Season 10 is one of Apex Legends’ biggest ever seasons, and it’s welcomed the popular character Seer. But who has the highest pick rates in Season 10 of Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale shooter?
Apex Legends hit the ground running when it launched with eight different characters to choose from in its rival battle royale offering. The game suffered a notable lull when Call of Duty: Warzone launched, but with many players now jumping ship to Respawn’s game, Apex Legends Season 10 is arguably its biggest ever!
There are now a whopping 18 different Legends to choose from, giving players a headache before each game. The newest one is Seer, and after a dominating start to Season 10, the 1.78 update has seen him receive a significant nerf. This has completely changed the game’s pick rates and made the Season 10 meta open again.
Between the Arenas mode and Ranked Leagues to compete in, thousands of matches have already been logged in Season 10, and we will break down and find the Legends with the highest pick rates in Season 10.

- Wraith – 11.4%
- Pathfinder – 9.9%
- Bloodhound – 9.1%
- Lifeline – 8.4%
- Valkyrie – 5.2%
- Bangalore – 5.1%
- Horizon – 4.6%
- Seer – 4.4%
- Rampart – 4.3%
- Loba – 4.2%
- Fuse – 3.7%
- Caustic – 3.5%
- Mirage – 3.2%

Best Apex Legends pick rates in Season 10
5. Lifeline – 8.4%
Just clocking in at the number five spot is Lifeline. Everyone’s favorite healer takes up 8.4% of the Apex Legends’ picks, and for good reason too.

One of the big things that separates Apex Legends from other battle royale games is its lenience towards reviving – specifically Knockdown Shields. It provides lots of time to revive teammates and Lifeline can take advantage of this.
Her Drone of Compassion (or D.O.C) abilities can heal players over time and even revive them without needing Lifeline to do it. Her Care Package Ultimate is a bit weak, but overall, she is a great addition to any team.
4. Bloodhound – 9.1%
Again, with the influx of new Apex Legends players, Bloodhound is a great character to use for new players in Season 10.
With nearly a 12% pick rate at the beginning of Season 9, Bloodhound has dipped a bit to 9.1% but still remains the third-most picked Legend. Their pick rate is rising slowly thanks to the alterations to Seer, meaning that Bloodhound is the top Recon class to use in Apex Legends.
Their tracking tools and skills are incredible, and the fleet of foot provided by their Beast of the Hunt Ultimate is priceless.
3. Pathfinder – 9.9%
A beneficiary of the Seer nerfs, Pathfinder has become a part of Apex Legends’ top five picks at 9.9% and counting.
As a Recon class, Pathfinder simply excels in movements and traversing the game’s various maps. His Grappling Hook and Zipline Gun are simply invaluable assets that will help any team in a pinch – either because of the circle or a third-party situation.
2. Wraith – 11.4%
Another starting legend, Wraith possessed a very high pick rate of nearly 14% during Season 9 and is still currently well-selected backed at 11.4%.
Wraith’s stand-out features are her ability to get out of trouble very quickly – teammates included. Her abilities allow her to sense danger, become temporarily invulnerable, and create portals to escape predicaments. It’s easy to see why Wraith continues to be an absolute fan-favorite in Apex Legends Season 10.
1. Octane – 14.6%
The king is back on his throne as the game’s number one pick. Although his pick rate isn’t quite in the 20% region like in Season 9, his still undisputedly the primary selection, and rising, at 14.6%.
Aside from his amusing quips, he is the perfect balance of offense and defense. Despite being regarded as an offensive Legend, Octane can greatly increase his sprint speed which is useful for both attack and running away. But most Octane users thrive on his Launch Pad Ultimate which can send him, and friendly players, high up into the air.
You can use this to sneak attack players, reach high-up spots for beacons, escape battles, or use it as a way to get back into the playing zone.
That covers all the picks in Apex Legends Season 10. As always, buffs and nerfs will come and go throughout the season, affecting the game’s meta, and subsequently, Legend pick rates.
We’ll be sure to keep this updated regularly so you can stay on top of the in picks, and don’t forget to check out our tier list of every Apex Legends weapon. Also, read about the potential incomings in Apex Legends Season 11.

Apex Legends Mobile Beta Team Deathmatch mode might be coming to console & PC
Apex Legends new Team Deathmatch mode in the Mobile Beta could also be seen in the console and PC version according to leaks.
The latest updates to the Apex Legends Mobile Beta have brought a new 6v6 Team Deathmatch mode, which some players are suggesting will also release on PC and console in the future.
The extension to more regions also brought some new features for the game, such as an upgrade system for Legends and a new Team Deathmatch mode.
The new Team Deathmatch mode may be seen in the PC and Console versions of the game in the future according to code found by dataminers, which may not arrive in Season 10, but rather sometime down the line.
Although the console and PC versions of Apex Legends have suffered since the Evolution Collection Event, with a recent update supposedly fixing all the server issues, the game’s Mobile version is developing nicely.
As well as being able to play the standard battle royale mode and Arenas on Apex Legends mobile, players will now also be able to hop into a Team Deathmatch mode.
The mode features two teams of six, spawning into similar-sized maps as Arenas, with Artillery being the current map available to the mode.
If you’re lucky enough to be participating in the Mobile Beta, you will be able to play this exclusive mode. However, dataminers may have uncovered code that suggests its arrival on PC and console in the future.
Thordan Smash‘s YouTube video regarding Team Deathmatch coming to Apex Legends features Shrugtal, a popular dataminer who has found code suggesting there will indeed be a team-based game mode arriving in the future.
This team-based game mode could either be Team Deathmatch or what Shrugtal is calling “Control,” a point-based mode similar to that of Domination in Call of Duty.
Further, Thordan also featured an interview with someone he claims works for EA, where the employee confirms that there will be a variety of team-based modes coming to Apex Legends in the future: “there will be a bunch of other modes, like capture the flag…or the bomb one.”
These rumors and leaks seem more viable now that the mobile version of Apex Legends has a Team Deathmatch mode in its Closed Beta.
However, it could be a while until we see these modes on PC and console, and they may also be slightly different from the 6v6 Team Deathmatch on mobile.
That’s all for Apex Legends Mobile’s Team Deathmatch mode possibly coming to console and PC. For more, check out everything you need to know about the Apex Legends Halloween Event.
