Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royale games, and if you’re wondering how to get the best performance in the game, then we’ve got the answer. Here are the minimum and recommended PC requirements for Apex Legends.

Apex Legends Season 18 brought a ton of changes for players to check out, including a Revenant rework along with different weapon buffs and nerfs. It’s the perfect time to hop into the game, and you’ll need a high frame rate to ensure you have a good reaction time in battles.

Competitive gamers and top Apex Legends streamers shell out thousands of dollars to achieve these frame rates, but that isn’t always necessary. As long as you meet the PC requirements, you can input the best settings to get smooth gameplay.

Here are the minimum and recommend Apex Legends PC specs.

Apex Legends minimum PC specs

Apex Legends doesn’t take a particularly beefy PC to run, with 2012’s GeForce GT 640 being the very minimum NVIDIA GUP Respawn recommends. For RAM, you’ll only need 6GBs to run the game – most modern titles such as Warzone 2 and Battlefield 2042 recommend at least 8.

It’s also worth noting that while Respawn recommends players have at least 22 GB of free space, the game has grown to around 80 GB through seasonal updates. We’ve adjusted the requirements accordingly.

Apex Legends players will want to know the PC requirements before they download the game.

These are the very minimum PC specs that Respawn recommends to run Apex Legends:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-6300 3.8GHz / AMD FX-4350 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor
  • RAM: 6GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 / Radeon HD 7730
  • GPU RAM: 1 GB
  • HARD DRIVE: Minimum 80 GB of free space

Here are the full PC specs you’ll need to run Apex Legends at 60FPS:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7
  • CPU: Intel i5 3570K or equivalent
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon R9 290
  • GPU RAM: 8GB
  • HARD DRIVE: Minimum 80 GB of free space

Of course, you’ll need a much more powerful rig to run Apex Legends at a higher frame rate. But even still, Apex’s recommended requirements are very reasonable.

To hit a smooth 60fps in Apex, you’ll need to have at least a GeForce GTX 970 GPU, which was released back in 2014. And for the CPU, they recommend the Intel i5 3570K or equivalent.

Well, there you have it, those are the minimum and recommended PC specs for Apex Legends. For more guides on the battle royale, check out some of our other pieces below:
