Apex Legends pick rates for Season 9: Legacy

We’ve found the most picked, popular Legends in Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy. Here are all the character’s pick rates.

Apex Legends’ characters are central to Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale. With each Legend offering something different, as well as a new Legend dropping every season, the pick rates are always fluctuating, so what do they look like in Season 9: Legacy?

Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy introduced a variety of Legend changes in the patch notes that have ultimately affected the Legend pick rates. From Fuse’s buff to Octane’s stim nerf, the Legends have definitely experienced some change in the latest season.

As well as changes to pre-existing Legends, we also got the “Winged Avenger,” Valkyrie, who has come in strong during her debut season.

Let’s take a look at how Season 9’s pick rates shape up.

Although we are not able to see the same data the developers have, as this is not available to the public, there is a website called Apex Legends Status that compiles the data of over 4 million player accounts.

Keep in mind that this is obviously not the total player base, but is still a great indication of what characters are being picked the most, or least, this season.

Also, do keep in mind that these are not the best Legends in Season 9, but rather the most used. Don’t use this as a guide for the strongest Legends in Season 9: Legacy, as these are just the Legends that are being picked the most by people in public games, and actually the ranked pick rates look very different, especially in the higher ranks.

Apex Legends pick rates for Season 9: Legacy

The chart above outlines the pick rates for each Legend from February 24 to June 4, 2021, with each line representing a different Legend. The big shift on May 5 is when Season 9: Legacy dropped.

  1. Octane: 14.5%
  2. Wraith: 13%
  3. Bloodhound: 11.7%
  4. Lifeline: 8.9%
  5. Valkyrie: 8.5%
  6. Pathfinder: 8.4%
  7. Bangalore: 7.2%
  8. Loba: 4.5%
  9. Horizon: 4%
  10. Mirage: 3.6%
  11. Gibraltar: 3.4%
  12. Caustic: 2.7%
  13. Revenant: 2.7%
  14. Fuse: 2.6%
  15. Wattson: 2.1%
  16. Crypto: 1.7%
  17. Rampart: 1.6%

It comes as no surprise that Octane is the most popular Legend in Season 9, as, despite his stim now dealing more damage, players are now able to use the stim more, making for a fun, fast mobility character that will attract most players.

Wraith has always been one of the best and most popular Legends in the game. The fact that Low Profile was removed this season has made her even more fun and powerful than she has ever been, so it is also no surprise that she also has a high pick rate in Season 9.

The latest Legend Valkyrie also finds herself in a top-end position for pick rates in Season 9. Like most new Legends, their pick rates are usually very high at the start, but then slowly drop down as the season progresses. However, in Valkyrie’s case, she remains high up, most likely due to her fun, movement-based abilities that anyone would enjoy.

Loba’s pick rate has increased this season, as her tactical buff made her much more mobile, competing with the other mobility Legends in the game. On the other hand, Horizon’s pick rate has dropped for Season 9, mostly due to her nerf in the patch notes which makes her much less mobile than players are used to.

Wattson’s recent bug fix has definitely improved her pick rate from what it was at the start of Season 9, however, much like Crypto, Rampart, and Fuse, their niche play-styles may not appeal to the majority of the player base.

Well, there you have it, all the pick rates for Legends in Season 9: Legacy. For more on Apex Legends, stay tuned via Charlie INTEL and check out our recent article on the best team compositions in Ranked Leagues.

Apex Legends dev confirms fix for Ranked stream-sniping issues coming soon

The Apex Legends devs have confirmed a fix for the exploit allowing Bronze players to stream-snipe in high-Ranked lobbies.

Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that they’re currently working on a fix for the exploit that allows bronze Apex Legends accounts to stream-snipe players in high-Ranked lobbies.

Apex Legends players have dealt with their fair share of cheaters using frustrating exploits, such as the recent one that allowed players on Xbox consoles to completely crash the game’s servers.

Another exploit that’s particularly irritating is one that lets newly-made bronze accounts to immediately get into high-ranked lobbies to stream-snipe players. Now, Respawn Entertainment have responded to this issue.

In Ranked play, Apex Legends players have to play extremely well if they want to climb the ladder and access high-Ranked lobbies. However, cheaters were able to bypass this by using an exploit that lets them sneak into theses lobbies and take out the top players.

Pro player ‘HisWattson’ complained about this issue on Twitter, stating that it’s irritating to report cheaters only to encounter them again in different games. This caught the attention of the developers.

Apex’s Security lead Conor Ford confirmed that the devs are aware of the problem: “I can say that the bronze issue is currently being worked on as well so hopefully you won’t be seeing that soon.”

He didn’t provide any details about when exactly this fix will be implemented in the game, but it’s reassuring to know that Respawn Entertainment are aware of the problem and are currently looking into it.

This exploit allows previously-banned players to pop up and start causing problems in high-ranked lobbies. Hopefully, the Apex Legends update patch containing the fix for the exploit will arrive soon.

For those wondering what the split date is for the current season of Apex Legends, here are all the details you need to know.

apex legends worlds edge storm point

Every season Apex Legends has a halfway-ranked split which resets player rank and also changes the map to keep things fresh. Here are all the details for Apex Legends Season 13’s split date.

The Apex Legends Season 13 split gives players a small mid-season reset to freshen things up. As well as a new map for Ranked Leagues, players will also experience a soft reset, motivating them to get back into playing ranked for either battle royale or Arenas.

For those interested in knowing more about the split, including the date it will occur, map change, how far your rank will be reset, and the kind of rewards you can expect, here’s our guide on the Apex Legends split date.

Apex Legends Season 13 split date

The Apex Legends split for Season 13 will take place on June 28 at around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT.

On this date, not only will the map change for Ranked Leagues, but a player’s rank for both Battle Royale Ranked Leagues and Ranked Arenas will be soft reset.

The Apex Legends 13.1 patch also detailed some changes for Ranked that will be seen in the second split for Season 13.

Rank reset

In order to keep things fresh and exciting through the season, the Apex Legends halfway split changes the ranked map and also resets a player’s rank by four divisions.

This means that if you finished the first split at Platinum IV, you will be reset back to Gold IV.

Map rotation

For the second split of Apex Legends Season 13, Ranked Leagues will be changing its map from Storm Point to World’s Edge up until the end of the season.

Many consider World’s Edge to be Apex Legend’s best map for ranked, so those who are yet to experience the map in Ranked Leagues are in for a treat.

Ranked rewards

The reward you receive at the start of the next season will be based on your highest rank achieved in either of the two splits.

For example, if you achieve Diamond rank in Split 1 but don’t play in Split 2, you will still receive the rewards for Diamond rank at the start of the next season. Keep in mind that to gain the rewards for the Apex Predator rank you must retain the rank until the split ends.

Players will obtain a shiny badge if they are able to achieve the same rank across the two splits within a season.

Here are the following rewards for each rank:

  • Bronze – Badge & Holospray
  • Silver – Badge & Holospray
  • Gold – Badge, Holospray, & Weapon Cosmetic
  • Platinum – Badge, Holospray, & Weapon Cosmetic
  • Diamond – Badge, Holospray, Weapon Cosmetic, & Season-Long Dive Trial
  • Master – Badge, Holospray, Weapon Cosmetic, & Season-Long Dive Trial
  • Apex Predator – Badge, Holospray, Weapon Cosmetic, & Season-Long Dive Trial

That’s all for the Apex Legends split date, map rotation, rewards, & rank reset for Season 13. For more, check out the major changes for Control in the Awakening Collection Event update.

Respawn confirm fix for frustrating Apex Legends Xbox input delay

The Apex Legends developers have addressed the Xbox input delay issue that has been causing frustration, claiming that a fix is on the way.

Xbox players have been experiencing some pretty awful input delay issues for Apex Legends, as Respawn finally address the problem.

Apex Legends Season 13 has been an eventful season for Xbox players. Not only was there a severe exploit that allowed Xbox players to completely crash servers, subsequently ruining ranked matches, but now there is another issue.

Ever since the Apex Legends 13.1 patch, Apex Legends players on Xbox have been complaining about input delay which is making the game unplayable.

Respawn have now addressed the complaints, mentioning the issue in a Twitter post on June 27.

apex legends control fps

Xbox players have had their experience plagued by input delay issues ever since the Apex Legends 13.1 patch, which is a shame as it has hindered the experience of the Awakening Collection Event and return of Control.

Although it isn’t affecting all players on Xbox, it’s extremely frustrating for those who are experiencing the issue, as the input delay puts the players at such a disadvantage that it isn’t even worth playing.

The devs originally addressed the issue on June 22, tweeting that they were “still working on a fix.” Despite this, players have still been experiencing the issue, wondering when exactly this fix will be coming.

Now, on Jun 27, Respawn Entertainment chimed in and put another tweet out to let Xbox players know that a fix is still being worked on for this issue.

The devs state that they are “continuing to investigate” the input delay issue, but do not give the community an idea of when a fix will be coming. This suggests that the issue has been difficult to solve.

It’s unclear when this problem will be resolved, but hopefully, the devs can get it fixed as soon as possible, especially as the halfway split for Season 13 is set for June 28.

For updates, stay tuned as we will be refreshing this piece with the latest information. For now, check out the leaked Apex Legends Gaiden event.
