Apex Legends player discovers unlimited speed boosts exploit for Wraith

A new exploit has been discovered in Apex Legends that lets players abuse Wraith’s ultimate for unlimited speed boosts.

One Apex Legends player has come across an exploit that can be used to give Wraith unlimited speed boosts, allowing the Legend to move across the map quickly and dodge attacks with greater ease.

Apex Legends players are no strangers to bugs and glitches, like the one that kept Valkyrie from properly using her ultimate, as well as strange hacks that let players see through walls.

Now, a new one has been discovered for the Legend Wraith that players are abusing. This exploit is giving the character unlimited speed boosts so that she can keep rotating across the map and dodging attacks.

Apex Legends Wraith

This glitch was discovered by Reddit user Historical_Permit_38 who highlighted it in a post in the Apex Legends subreddit. They were killed by a Wraith during a match and decided to take a look at what happened.

After spectating the enemy player for a short while, it became clear that the opponent had abused an exploit that allowed them to keep using the speed boost to get around the map. This seemed to be linked to Wraith’s ultimate ability.

The footage showed the player using the speed boost after activating a Dimensional Rift, fooling the game into thinking that they were repeatedly traveling through the same portal.

This exploit lets the player repeatedly speed boost across the map without any limit, making it nearly impossible to shoot them down and giving them an unfair advantage.

This post has over 6,000 upvotes at the time of writing. Hopefully, this will catch the attention of the developers, and they’ll issue an update patch to fix the problem soon enough.

After being live in India and the Philippines, the closed beta for Apex Legends’ upcoming mobile import has been announced for even more regions, so we have gathered all the recent news for you.

Apart from Apex Legends’ upcoming Season 10 adding a heap of new content on August 3, Respawn Entertainment has also been hard at work developing Apex Legends for mobile gamers.

The mobile beta was originally only available in India. However, as of May 19, the closed beta became available for those registered in the Philippines. The beta has now been announced for even more regions, so let’s get into it.

Apex Legends has made its mark in the battle royale genre, is considered one of the best purely because of its gameplay, great developer communication, and constant updates.

The latest update saw many changes in the patch notes. However, Apex Legends on console and PC isn’t the only thing the developers have focused on, as the mobile version is set to release by the end of 2021.

Apex Legends Mobile beta regions

The Apex Legends Mobile Beta is currently available for those in India and Philipinnes who registered through the Google Play store to experience the battle royale on Android.

There is currently only a select few Legends available in the beta, with maybe more releasing when the game officially launches. The beta will also feature mobile-exclusive maps and even the new 3v3 Arenas mode.

It seems to have been a success, with the beta now coming in a few weeks for Indonesia, Peru, Colombia, Egypt, and Lebanon.

Be sure to register as soon as possible, as if you miss it or were too late and don’t receive an email from EA. Unfortunately, this is a closed beta, and you will not participate.

However, having said that, Apex Legends Mobile is set to be released by the end of this year, and the beta is becoming available in more regions as long as things go smoothly. You can find all of the regions it is currently available below:

  • India
  • Philippines

If you’re interested in participating in the beta, or even when the full game releases, you can stay updated about the Apex Legends Mobile version through this page.

Apex Legends Mobile beta: Gameplay, how to register, new maps, & available Legends

Apex Legends developers dropped an article containing information on the mobile version’s closed beta, which recently launched in India.

After the announcement of Apex Legends Mobile, Respawn Entertainment has rolled out a closed beta test for various regions, with even more to be included in the future.

Apex Legends has been in all the gaming news this week, announcing its highly anticipated Season 10: Emergence, which includes an interesting new Legend, Seer.

Apex Legends was also released on Nintendo Switch in March 2021, increasing its player count to another platform. It doesn’t seem like the developers were done there, though, as closed beta testing continues in various regions for the mobile version.

how to register Apex Legends Mobile beta

The first of a series of beta tests for Apex Legends Mobile was released back in April for residents in India to enjoy, allowing some gamers to escape the reality of the COVID crisis for just a few hours.

Mobile gaming is extremely popular in the Asian continent. With India being the second largest country in Asia, it seems like the perfect place to test Apex Legends Mobile beta.

EA announced on their website that they would be starting with smaller closed beta tests in India and the Philippines, with the latter coming in May. They also said that they would look to expand the beta, adding new regions and iOS support if the tests go well, as currently, the beta is only available for Android.

Currently, the beta is available solely in India and the Philippines, with Respawn announcing plans to release in Indonesia, Peru, Colombia, Egypt, and Lebanon very soon.

How to register for the Apex Legends Mobile beta

For those who want to register for when the beta expands to other regions, you’ll be able to sign up for it on the Google Play Store page, which will inform you when it is available to play in your location.

The closed beta is a first-come, first-serve system, meaning the places are limited, so make sure to register if you are interested. They did announce that once the beta is expanded, they will “launch a page that allows you to pre-register for the game and sign up for news about the betas.”

Just like the console and PC versions, Apex Legends Mobile will be free-to-play when it officially releases. Apex Legends Mobile is being developed to be available on various devices and model versions, but the beta is specifically for Androids running the 6.0 version and up.

Another big piece of news from the announcement is that not only will Apex Legends Mobile be a stand-alone game, not featuring cross-platform, it will also be mostly in third-person. New footage of the closed beta shows players that the first-person perspective is only initiated when aiming down sights. Apart from that, the game will be in third-person.

What maps and Legends are available?

Currently, only the World’s Edge map is available for Apex Legends Mobile. However, they mention plans to add more, and some leaks from dataminers have revealed some interesting developments.

It seems Apex Legends Mobile will also be getting the new Arena mode, with exclusive maps just for the mobile version that won’t be seen on the PC and console.

Further, the only Legends currently available in the Indian closed beta are Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Caustic, Octane, and Wattson. However, one of the screenshots used for promotion has Revenant in it, so the community suspects more Legends could be added in the future.

Confirmed buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 10

Here are all the various different buffs and nerfs that Respawn have confirmed for Apex Legends Season 10.

Apex Legends roster

Apex Legends Emergence is almost here, and there will be a ton of changes when the new update goes live, including various balancing changes to Legends. Here’s every buff and nerf in Season 10.

Respawn apply buffs and nerfs to certain characters so that Apex Legends still feels fresh after a new update drops. They also keep fans posted on their progress through community updates.

Some of these changes are welcomed, specifically those for Legends that have been underperforming or are considered overpowered. Other balance updates can be points of controversy.

Here’s every known buff and nerf coming in Apex Legends Season 10.

Confirmed Apex Legends buffs and nerfs for Season 10

Caustic: Buff

One of the more prominent changes in the new season of Apex Legends will be to Caustic’s gas. The damage per tick will no longer be locked, and will now increase every 2 seconds.

However, the Season 10 update will also have an adverse effect on the gas cloud from his toxic fumes. The buff will cause it to dissipate five seconds faster.

Crypto: Buff

While we don’t know exactly what changes Respawn is planning for Crypto, they’ve made it abundantly clear that they want to improve his popularity. Live balance designer John Larson talked about his low pick rate.

“When assessing how to make him a bit sexier, I think streamlining the flow between Crypto mode and drone mode, and maybe distributing that power in a more healthy way so it’s not quite as binary, would be a nice way of approaching that,” the developer said.

It’s unclear whether these changes will take place right at the start of Season 10, or if Crypto will get buffs in the mid-season update.

Fuse: Buff

The developers have confirmed that Fuse will be getting a buff to both his Tactical and his Ultimate abilities. The Knuckle Cluster Tactical’s duration has been doubled, letting the Legend dish out pain longer.

Enemies that are hit by the Motherlode Ultimate will now be highlighted, and they will remain visible even if they’re taking cover.

Horizon: Buff

Horizon received a movement speed nerf when using the Gravity Lift, and this ended up being one of her biggest weak points. Now, the developers are reverting this change but not completely to its pre-nerf state.

This means that you’ll be much more mobile when using Horizon’s Gravity Lift ability in combat.

Rampart: Buff (mid-season)

When Season 10 goes live, one of Rampart’s inventions will become available as a weapon in the form of the Rampage LMG. The Legender herself will also be receiving a buff, but developers have said this will be later on.

Respawn will continue their development and tests on this balancing update, and they haven’t revealed what exactly it will be for. It will probably be related to her Ultimate ability.

Revenant: Nerf

Revenant already received a major buff as part of the Genesis Collection event. Now, the developers are planning to introduce a few more changes to make the Legend easier to play against.

Season 10 will add a visual and audio indicator to let enemies know when Revenant’s death protection is about to end. This nerf will give opponents a fair chance to react quickly.

Wattson: Buff & Nerf

Wattson Apex Legends

Wattson already comes with a fairly high win rate, so buffing her can be tricky. She’ll still be receiving a buff in Season 10, but this will be followed by a buff later on to keep things balanced.

Her buff will focus on making her more fun to play, while the nerf will probably be to her hitbox, according to live balance designer John Larson.

Those are all the confirmed buffs and nerfs dropping in Season 10, either at launch or in the mid-season update. Also, check out when Apex Legends Season 10 is going to start.
