Apex Legends players reveal what’s needed to compete with Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are set to become massive competitors in the FPS scene, and Apex Legends may need more content to keep players engaged.

While Apex Legends has had an extremely successful Season 14, reaching new heights in popularity, Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2‘s upcoming release is set to shake up the FPS scene.

Apex Legends has enjoyed a lot of success in terms of player count, consistently having more players than Warzone for some seasons now.

Massive streamers like Dr Disrespect and NICKMERCS made the change to Apex Legends, enjoying the game more than Call of Duty’s battle royale, however, with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 closely approaching, that could all change.

In order to sustain the player base, Grrt believes Respawn Entertainment must release more content to compete with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, with more to be revealed about the titles at the Call of Duty Next event.

While Grrt claims that dedicated Apex Legends players may be more inclined to stay on Apex even after the release of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, “it’s more about the larger casual player base,” as it’s these players who make the difference when it comes to growth. According to Grrt, their departure would hurt Apex Legends.

Luckily, leaks are suggesting that more content is on the way in Apex Legends Season 15, with a brand-new Moon map rumored to be in the works. Apex also hasn’t seen a new weapon in some time, so perhaps we can expect a new gun to shake the meta up.

All of this content on top of a new Season 15 Legend could be enough to keep casual players engaged, with Grrt believing that this content will keep Apex “steady for a while.”
