The latest store update for Apex Legends introduces Legendary bundle skins that will go towards the prize pool in the ALGS Championship.

Apex Legends have released a new set of bundles in the store, which have an interesting relation to the ALGS Championships being held on May 22.

What is the ALGS?

The ALGS is the competitive esports tournament for Apex Legends where pros compete against each other in the battle royale for a huge prize pool.

The ALGS has had its playoffs and is now holding the Championship in May, where the players were originally playing for a huge $1 million prize pool.

You can get more information on the dates, teams, and standings for the ALGS on their website.

How to Get ALGS Apex Legends skins

The bundle skins are in the store now, with every purchase contributing towards the Championship prize pool for the high-profile competition for the fan-favorite battle royale. The bundles include a Legendary skin, epic weapon charm, and epic banner frame.

The bundles are available for Octane, Fuse, Pathfinder, and Caustic. Each bundle costs 2,500 Apex Coins, but there is also an Animal Kingdom bundle for 9,000 Apex Coins, including all four of the bundles.

Respawn will add $5 to the ALGS Championship prize pool for every bundle purchased and a further $20 for every Animal Kingdom bundle sold. This could put the prize pool upwards to about $3, a great way to get players and the developers to support those who put so much time into the game and aid the community in coming together to help create a truly worthwhile event.

According to data miner Shrugtal, the Shadow Royale LTM will return Apex Legends for the Halloween-themed event. It’s reportedly set to begin on October 26, but the devs haven’t confirmed this.

This LTM turns eliminated players into Shadows that are capable of wall-running and double jumping. Respawn might make a few changes to the fan-favorite mode this time around.

What do Heirlooms do in Apex Legends?

Apex Legends’ Heirlooms are some of the most sought after items in the whole game, but what are they and what do they do?

The Heirlooms in Apex Legends are very popular but rare items that all dedicated players wish to obtain. To understand the demand, let’s get into the details of what they are.

Apex Legends has some pretty cool cosmetics for players to obtain, including Legend and weapon skins. There are plenty of neat cosmetic items that you can use to stylize your weapons and characters.

Heirlooms are the rarest and most prestigious in-game items, and not every Legend has one of these. Let’s go into detail about what they are and what they actually do for you in Apex Legends.

What is an Apex Legend Heirloom?

Revenant Heirloom in Apex Legends

An Heirloom is a Legend-specific melee item that Apex Legends players can purchase with Heirloom Shards, which are obtained in Apex Packs.

The reason Heirlooms are so rare is because there is a 1 in 500 chance of receiving Heirloom Shards in an Apex Pack, and only on your 500th pack are you guaranteed the shards.

Further, Heirlooms usually come out during a Collection Event, where players need to collect every item in the event to receive the new Heirloom. However, these can be very pricey.

To calculate how many Apex Packs you have opened, check out our article on how to track your Heirloom progress.

What do Heirlooms do in Apex Legends?

Heirlooms are strictly cosmetic items that are specific to Legends who currently have them available. They give you new melee animations and sounds, as well as something cool to hold while your weapons are holstered.

These items also have detailed animations when your weapon is holstered, as well as satisfying animations for moving between running, walking, sliding, and crouching.

There are currently 11 Legends who have Heirlooms in the game, and each of these items is suited to their own distinct sets of abilities.

Here are of all the Apex Legends heirlooms:

  1. Rampart – Problem Solver
  2. Wraith – Kunai
  3. Bloodhound – Raven’s Bite
  4. Lifeline – Shock Sticks
  5. Pathfinder – Boxing Gloves
  6. Octane – Butterfly Knife
  7. Mirage – Too Much Witt
  8. Caustic – Death Hammer
  9. Gibraltar – War Club
  10. Revenant – Dead Man’s Curve
  11. Bangalore – Cold Steel

At the time of writing, Rampart was the latest character to receive an Heirloom in Apex Legends Season 10. The Problem Solver arrived as part of the Evolution Collection Event.

The Collection Event’s update patch also gave data miners the opportunity to sort through the game files, and a leaked 3D model for Wattson’s Heirloom has revealed that the devs might give her one of these items soon.

Apex Legends Season 11: Start date, new map, new Legend & Battle Pass change

Season 10: Emergence has only just arrived, but players are already looking ahead to Apex Legends Season 11, and here’s when it should start.

Although Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence is still quite fresh on the mind, that doesn’t stop the community from getting excited at what the future holds. Here’s everything we know so far about Apex Legends Season 11.

Season 10 brought a whole host of exciting content into the game, including a new Legend in the form of Seer and the Rampart LMG.

On top of that, there is a fresh Battle Pass brimming with cosmetics for characters new and old.

Apex Legends has undergone a rebirth of sorts, with Season 10 as a large portion of the Warzone community. Even big streamers have switched to Apex. Respawn will look to continue this momentum with Apex Legends Season 11, and here are all the details we know so far.

Apex Legends Season 11 start date

apex legends seer artwork

As a rule of thumb, every new season of Apex Legends will typically last for three months to allow players enough time to soak in the content.

The Emergence update landed on August 3, so it’s safe to say that it will end on November 2, 2021, with Season 11 beginning on November 3.

What time does Apex Legends Season 11 begin?

lifeline sniping in apex legends

As we are still so early in the current season, an official release time is yet to be announced by Respawn. However, we can look at the previous schedule and make a reasonable estimate. Based on past releases, Season 11 will drop at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST / 5 PM GMT on November 3, 2021.

This is, of course, subject to any delays in development that could see the date pushed. But after 11 successful seasons, Respawn seems to be in the swing of turning around the new updates at a steady rate.

New Legend

It’s been a while since a new Legend has hogged the spotlight so much, but that’s exactly what Seer did when he debuted. The first few weeks saw Seer become, easily, the most picked Legend in Season 10 thanks to his powerful recon abilities.

However, nerfs have lessened his impact and seen his following quickly drop off. Now, fans have reverted to old favorites, and we begin to look ahead to the next character to join the fray.

There haven’t been any hints about who we can expect, but we’ll update this once the details start to seep through for the Apex Legends Season 11 character.

New map

olympus map

One major thing that helps Apex Legends differentiate itself from other popular battle royale games is its three full maps to rotate between.

Whereas Fortnite has Fortnite Island, Warzone has Verdansk (and to a lesser extent Rebirth Island), Apex Legends has Olympus, World’s Edge, and Kings Canyon.

But it seems like three maps may not be enough to satisfy the hunger of the game’s devs as a rumored fourth map is in the works.

Data miners have found that “Tropical Island” has been in the game’s files for a long time now, and new coding has been discovered that further hints at some sort of tropical setting for the map.

Apex Legends players last got a new map with Olympus in Season 7, so it may be time to add more variety in Apex Legends Season 11.

The excitement for the possibility of a new map coming to the battle royale game coming in Season 11 was ramped up when a new POI was discovered on the Olympus map following the arrival of the Evolution Collection event update.

However, players will have to wait to see if this new Olympus POI is indeed a teaser for the Apex Legends Season 11 map for the time being.

Apex Legends Season 11 Battle Pass changes

season 10 battle pass

Battle Passes, in general, are transforming into something slightly more consumer-friendly to reward players who shell out the cash on them.

Fortnite popularized the concept by offering players the chance to pay a small amount to be able to unlock a slew of new cosmetics each season, usually consisting of 100 Tiers. Now, Battle Passes are changing in different games to suit the needs of the player better.

Halo Infinite has taken big steps to shake up the Battle Pass concept, and Apex Legends seems to be following suit in Season 11.

Here’s what the official FAQ regarding Battle Passes and Special Events says:

  • Battle Pass – Can be obtained during the specific event period by Battle Pass owners who reach the required level. These items may return in a future event or promotion (This applies starting with Season 11 and onwards).
  • Event Limited – May return in a future event or promotion. (i.e. Collection Events, Themed Events).”

By the time November rolls around, the community will be eager to jump in and see what’s in store for Season 11 – whatever form it takes.
