Apex Legends Season 10: Emergence is almost here, which also means an update for Ranked Leagues, so let’s get into the details.

Apex Legends Ranked Leagues is an excellent place for those who want to test their skills out and play for points in a competitive environment, which, starting in Season 10, will also be available in Arenas.

No matter how good you are, Apex Legends has a detailed ranking system that will place you on a similar playing field once you play enough games. With Season 10 incoming, let’s check out the updates arriving for the ranked playlist.

Although there are no significant changes for Ranked Leagues this season, there are still a few things to go over, such as split dates, rewards, and map rotation.

Split dates

As Apex Legends Season 10 begins on August 3, this would then mean that the first ranked split will also start on the same day, with the second split coming halfway through the season.

Due to the recent server issues in Apex Legends, Respawn has decided to extend the first split by one week, meaning the first split now ends on September 28.

With that being said, this means that the second split will also start on September 28, ending when the season finishes. This means that players will lose one week from the second split, so hopefully, there aren’t further server issues.

Map rotation

Every new season two maps get picked for Ranked Leagues, one which spans the first split and another that spans the second.

For Season 10, players will be dropping into Decimated World’s Edge, which has been showcased in the trailers leading up to Season 10’s release.

In the second split, players will be back on Kings Canyon, or at least the Season 8 version of Kings Canyon, with all the most recently made changes to it.

Season 10 rewards

Depending on what level you managed to reach in Ranked Leagues for Season 9, players will receive rewards at the start of Season 10.

The rewards include gun charms, badges, season-long dive trails for those who manage to reach the higher ranks, and new this season, Holo Sprays.

The rewards for Season 9’s Ranked Leagues have been revealed by EA, showing off the badges and dive trails players will receive.

Ranked Arenas

Season 10 will also mark the first season of Ranked Arenas, which Respawn released details about fairly recently.

3 new BR maps will join Phase Runner, Party Crasher, and Overflow, with one of them joining the trio and rotating with each other every two weeks. The new maps include:

  • King’s Canyon – Hillside
  • World’s Edge – Dome
  • Olympus – Oasis

As well as new maps, Ranked Arenas will also feature new maps and an exclusive ranking system.

Although not much has been shared about how ranking will work in Arenas, we suspect the names and ranks will be the same. However, how you receive points and the number of points you need to rank up will differ from Battle Royale mode.

That’s all for the ranked playlist in Apex Legends Season 10. For more updates, stay tuned on Charlie INTEL, and if you’ve been a victim of the recent unfair banning, check out our article for an explanation.

Apex Legends Anniversary event: Release date, rewards, more

Apex Legends is nearing its third anniversary, and Respawn usually like to celebrate in style. Here’s everything there is to know.

Published

on

Respawn love to celebrate the Apex Legends anniversary with an event. The game is approaching its third birthday and for those interested in the date, here’s when Apex Legends’ anniversary is.

Apex Legends is known for having great content updates and communication with the community. Not only has Season 11 brought more server stability, but it also introduced a great new map and Legend.

With that being said, players are always hungry for new content, with Season 12 on the way. With how special the Season 8 Anniversary event was for 2021, it’s only right that fans are intrigued about the next one.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Apex Legends Anniversary event.

When is Apex Legends’ Anniversary?

Respawn’s free-to-play battle royale was released on February 4, 2019, making this date its anniversary every year since its launch. In celebration, players typically get an in-game event to mark the date.

This year, Apex Legends Anniversary will coincide with the launch of Season 12 on February 8, and so far it seems they won’t be marking the third anniversary of the game with an event, but rather “Login Rewards.”

What to expect for Apex Legends’ Anniversary event

In the previous Anniversary event, players were blessed with a whole Collection Event and Reward Tracker. This year, players will be getting login rewards for the month of February.

Starting from Season 12’s launch, players will be receiving three consecutive weeks of rewards:

  • February 8 – 15: Octane & three Thematic Packs
  • February 15 – 22: Wattson & three Thematic Packs
  • February 22 – March 1: Valkyrie, three Thematic Packs, & one Legendary Pack

If you already own these Legends, players will still get the Thematic Packs for them, which are essentially Apex Packs that guarantee items for that specific Legend.

As more news is released, we’ll be updating this article so make sure you stay tuned.

Apex Legends Season 12 will be arriving soon, and finally players have been given official information regarding the new content.

Apex Legends Season 12 will be bringing loads of new content to the battle royale. For those interested in the release date, new Legend, and more, we’ve got you covered.

Apex Legends is coming to the end of another season, and while players enjoyed a heap of new content in Season 11, including a brand new map, it’s time for even more.

A lot of leaks have been surrounding Season 12, but finally, official information has been released regarding the new content coming, including Mad Maggie, changes to Olympus, a new LTM, and even more.

Apex Legends Season 12 release date

Apex Legends Season 11 will end on February 8, 2022, and as updates tend to arrive on Tuesdays around 12 AM PST/ 1 PM EST/ 6 PM BST, this is when we could be seeing Season 12 launch.

The launch trailer for Season 12 will be released on January 27, so perhaps this is when we will get an official release date. When there is official news regarding a release date, we will be updating this piece with the information.

Apex Legends Season 12 Legend Mad Maggie

The new Legend for Season 12 will be Mad Maggie, an old friend of Fuse’s who has been forced to participate in the Apex Games as a punishment for her many crimes across the Outlands after being shot down in a dog fight against the Syndicate.

They fell out over Fuse’s choice to join the Apex Games and for Salvo (Fuse and Maggie’s home planet) to become a world owned by the Syndicate, who are also behind the Apex Games.

It seems Maggie is out for vengeance and her relationship with Fuse is bound to be explosive, making things exciting for fans in terms of lore.

It’s unclear what her abilities are, but from a recently leaked promotional image, it seems she will wield a shield and some sort of whip.

Apex Legends new LTM “Control”

Apex Legends Season 12 will also bring a brand new LTM to the game called “Control.” While there has been a lot of rumors regarding a smaller team-based mode coming to Apex Legends after Arenas, players will finally be getting it in Season 12.

Control will be available for the first three weeks of Season 12 and features two teams of 9 where players will choose their loadout – similarly to how it worked in Season 11’s version of the Holo-day Express LTM.

The two teams will then battle it to hold control points with infinite respawns. It isn’t quite clear what maps will be available on this mode, but again, as more information is released we will be sure to update this piece.

Apex Legends’ Olympus returns with an update

Map updates have been teased ahead of Season 12 but now we have official news that Olympus will be returning with changes.

The information given in the latest EA blog on Season 12 states the following: “A new view from Olympus. Something is different about the floating city…but what?”

This will no doubt generate excitement for what map changes are to come for Olympus in Season 12, especially as the map has been out for the duration of Season 11.

That’s all for Apex Legends Season 12, as more information is released make sure to check back on this article for updates. For now, check out how many people are playing Apex Legends.

Apex Legends devs respond to Season 12 Pathfinder buffs requests

The Apex Legends developers have finally responded to player requests to buff Pathfinder’s abilities in Season 12.

Published

on

Apex Legends players have been calling for some major buffs to Pathfinder in Season 12, and Respawn Entertainment have finally responded to these requests.

There are a total of 19 different characters to choose from in Apex Legends. All of these Legends have unique abilities that make them ideal choices for a variety of different combat situations.

Pathfinder has consistently been one of the top five picks in the game. Despite his popularity, players have been requesting that Respawn Entertainment provide him with a major buff in Season 12.

Now, one of the Apex Legends devs has responded to these requests.

Respawn will not change Pathfinder in Season 12

Apex Legends’ Lead Balance Director John Larson discussed Pathfinder in an interview with Dexerto’s Kijanna Henry. The dev went over why there hasn’t been any major update for the Legend.

After explaining how complicated it is to buff or nerf characters, he stated that Respawn believes Pathfinder currently doesn’t need any improvements. This can be attributed to the Legend’s high pick rate.

One popular player suggestion has been to increase Pathfinder’s utility while he uses a zipline, and Larson dismissed that idea: “Does he have less of an accuracy penalty on ziplines, or can he heal on ziplines? That would just straight up buff him.”

Larson also explained why Pathfinder’s abilities don’t need to match the strength of other characters: “It’s important to evaluate the kit as a whole. I don’t think there should be a world where every legend has an equally enticing passive, tactical, and ultimate.”

Timestamp at 10:59

It seems that Respawn are currently satisfied with Pathfinder’s performance, so we won’t see the Legend go through any major changes anytime soon. However, that doesn’t mean he’ll stay the same forever.

Larson noted that the team is always open to making changes when needed. So, we might see Pathfinder get some upgrades when the game’s meta shifts in a future season. Only time will tell when this will happen exactly.
