With Apex Legends Season 8 just around the corner, Respawn Entertainment have a plethora of new content planned for the update, and a recent preview has teased the return of the Anvil Receiver.
The newest Season in Apex Legends will bring a ton of updates to the battle royale. Aside from a new Legend and a few map changes, we will also see the addition of new weapons and a couple of Hop-Up items.
The 30-30 Repeater will be joining the loot pool when the Season launches on February 2, and a preview of that is available online. A few fans noted that the video also showed off the Anvil Receiver, which will be joining the game in Season 8.
Apex Legends Season 8 will bring back the Anvil Receiver
The Anvil Receiver was removed from Apex Legends in Season 5, and then replaced in-game by the Skullpiercer Rifling Hop-up. Now, it’s making a return in Season 8, which has generated hype from fans of the game.

Content creator Dazs posted an EA Game Changers video to YouTube on January 28, explaining how to how to best handle the 30-30 repeater, and the Anvil Receiver option then appeared at the bottom right corner of the HUD.
This instantly caught the attention of many fans in the Apex community, and now there’s a ton of excitement about the Hop-Up item returning, One fan said: “It is decided, I’m gonna use Flatline the whole of next season.”
This Hop-Up will decrease the rate of fire, use two ammo per shot in single fire mode, and give a massive boost to semi-auto damage. You could previously attach it to the R-301 and Flatline, so it’s likely that won’t change when Respawn bring it back.
Shrugtal also posted a tweet in which they displayed images of the Anvil Receiver taken from the 30-30 preview video.
The Anvil Receiver was a popular item before its removal from the battle royale. This makes it understandable why quite a few fans are excited for its return, with some wondering what else will be coming back.
One fan even commented: “Imagine if they brought back disruptor rounds.” With Apex Legends Season 8 on the horizon, we can expect many more surprises soon. We’ll be sure to update you once we hear more.
