Apex Legends Season 12 release date
Apex Legends Season 12 will begin on February 8, 2022, and as updates tend to arrive around 12 AM PST/ 1 PM EST/ 6 PM BST, this is when we expect the update to go live.
The launch of the new season will not only mean a new Legend, map updates, and buffs and nerfs, but it also means a ranked reset will also occur, so make sure you get your games in while you still can for Season 11.
Apex Legends Season 12 Legend Mad Maggie
The new Legend for Season 12 will be Mad Maggie, an old friend of Fuse’s who has been forced to participate in the Apex Games as a punishment for her many crimes across the Outlands after being shot down in a dog fight against the Syndicate.
They fell out over Fuse’s choice to join the Apex Games and for Salvo (Fuse and Maggie’s home planet) to become a world owned by the Syndicate, who are also behind the Apex Games.
It seems Maggie is out for vengeance and her relationship with Fuse is bound to be explosive, making things exciting for fans in terms of lore.

Apex Legends new LTM “Control”
Apex Legends Season 12 will also bring a brand new LTM to the game called “Control.” While there has been a lot of rumors regarding a smaller team-based mode coming to Apex Legends after Arenas, players will finally be getting it in Season 12.
Control will be available for the first three weeks of Season 12 and features two teams of 9 where players will choose their loadout – similarly to how it worked in Season 11’s version of the Holo-day Express LTM.
Check out our individual piece on the new mode for a more in-depth guide on Control.
Apex Legends Season 12 map rotation
For Apex Legends Season 12, Olympus, Storm Point, and Kings Canyon will all be in rotation for pubs, leaving World’s Edge out of the rotation for the whole season.

Apex Legends’ Olympus returns with an update
Map updates had been teased ahead of Season 12 but now we have official news that Olympus will be returning with changes. The information given in the EA blog on Season 12 states the following: “A new view from Olympus. Something is different about the floating city…but what?”
As players saw from both the launch trailer and the new gameplay trailer, Olympus has been teleported and altered. The event caused Olympus to fall right down towards the city that it floats above, as well as “teleporting objects and buildings across the city.”
New POI
The biggest part of this change is the brand new POI that was shown in the trailer, although we don’t have a name for this POI yet, it looks absolutely massive. It is located next to Bonsai Plaza, occupying a new space on the map.
We’ll likely need to wait until Season 12 officially kicks off to know everything that has changed with Olympus unless Respawn release another blog post in the meantime.
Apex Legends Season 12 Collection Events
Season 12 of Apex will bring two Collection Events to the game instead of the customary one per season. The first will be tied in with Apex Legends’ third anniversary, which will also come with login rewards for players.
The second is called the Warriors Collection Event, and will be coming later on in the season. This event will most likely bring Crypto’s Heirloom, while the anniversary event will bring Heirloom shards for players to pick from the available Heirlooms.
That’s all for Apex Legends Season 12, as more information is released make sure to check back on this article for updates. For now, check out how many people are playing Apex Legends.
