Apex Legends Steam reviews take major dive ahead of Season 11

Apex Legends’ reviews have seriously dropped on Steam after players continue to experience persistent server issues ahead of Season 11.

Recent findings from the Apex Legends community have revealed a drop in Steam reviews for Respawn’s battle royale, which isn’t the best sign ahead of Season 11.

Apex Legends has had a very successful Season 10 so far, with even more for players to get excited for as the Halloween event approaches.

Season 10 has probably been Apex Legends’ most successful season in terms of increasing the player base, with popular streamers like NICKMERCS shedding light on the game’s great ranked mode.

Recent server issues have really affected the game’s progress so much that player complaints have negatively impacted the Apex Legends Steam reviews.

Apex Legends has previously been held in high regard for reviews, especially on Steam, as it has consistently had a “positive” review grade since its release.

However, this has declined in recent times, with more and more players giving the game bad reviews due to persistent server issues.

This has ultimately caused the Apex Legends Steam review grade to turn from “positive” to “mixed,” which really isn’t great for the game ahead of Season 11.

Severe Season 10 server issues have become damaging to the player experience ever since the Evolution Collection Event update, which was so bad for some that they couldn’t even get past the home screen.

Although the developers pushed some updates to fix these issues, players are still experiencing problems with servers, being kicked from games, and also experiencing odd audio bugs that result in the whole lobby losing audio in-game.

This is awful for those trying to grind ranked, as some are being kicked from games due to server issues and losing Ranked Points because of it without any compensation.

Hopefully, Respawn can fix these issues as soon as possible, as if the server issues continue, the Apex Legends Steam reviews could worsen. If you’re interested in more, here’s everything there is to know about Apex Legend Mobile.

Apex Legends player using mobile controller

Apex Legends Mobile is finally here, but some players still prefer to use a trusty controller over the touchscreen controls. Here’s everything we know about Apex Legends Mobile’s controller support.

After months of playtests, Apex Legends Mobile was finally released on Android and iOS on May 17, 2022. It features many of the same Legends and weapons as the main game, as well as the mobile-exclusive Fade, all on your mobile phone or tablet.

But even with its fully-fledged touchscreen controls, some players prefer having a controller in their hands when playing first-person shooters. Here’s everything we know about Apex Legends Mobile’s controller support.

Does Apex Legends Mobile have controller support?

Apex Legends Mobile does not have controller support at launch but the devs have confirmed that it’s on the way.

Speaking at a press event ahead of Apex Mobile’s launch, the developers said they understand that many prefer to use a controller over the touchscreen controls. “It is super important for us, we understand usability issues, and how much fun it is,” explained one of the devs.

They confirmed that controller support is in the works for Apex Legends Mobile but unfortunately, it didn’t make it to the game for launch.

When is controller support coming to Apex Legends Mobile?

While there’s no concrete timeframe, Apex Legends Mobile’s developers confirmed that controller support should come in the “very near future.”

They explained that “We’re actively exploring [controller support] but haven’t quite got it right.” When exactly it will arrive is anyone’s guess, but it should be here before the end of 2022.

Although there is no official support for it, players can actually pair their Bluetooth controller with their phone and use it. The controllers that are compatible and can pair with your mobile device include the following:

  • Xbox Series X/S controller
  • Xbox One controller
  • PlayStation DualSense controller
  • PlayStation 4 controller
  • Razer Kishi

Simply activate the pairing mode for the controller and find it on your mobile’s Bluetooth devices section. This will allow you to use the controller on Apex Mobile, but unfortunately, as there is no support for the feature, it can be buggy, especially when it comes to customizing your layout.

When controller support arrives, we’ll be breaking down how to use it and the best controller settings to dominate Apex Legends Mobile.

Apex Legends devs confirm fix for Xbox server crashing exploit in Season 13

The Apex Legends devs have officially fixed the Xbox server crashing exploit that was plaguing ranked games in Season 13.

Apex Legends players will be happy to hear that the Xbox server crashing issue that has been ruining games, especially in ranked, has officially been fixed by the devs.

Apex Legends Season 13 brought massive changes to the ranked system, which pros even believe will make players much better at the game despite the adverse community reaction.

Unfortunately, players on consoles couldn’t enjoy the new system to the extent that they maybe wanted to due to a serious exploit plaguing the experience and causing servers to crash.

Luckily, it seems the devs have fixed the issue with a hotfix that went live on May 25.

In Apex Legends Season 13, Xbox players noticed that they were able to crash the server and prevent themselves from losing Ranked Points by doing so. This was ruining the experience for others, especially as Apex Legends is cross-platform.

While some believed this was a DDoS issue, the devs confirmed it was an exploit on Xbox and pushed a fix on May 18. Unfortunately, the fix didn’t work, and Xbox players were still able to crash servers and ruin matches for others.

This has been very damaging for players who have been trying to rank up and enjoy the brand new ranked changes, even turning people off from playing the game.

A Respawn dev let the community know that another hotfix went live on May 25 which seems to have fixed the issue caused by players on Xbox consoles.

So far, it seems like this fix has done the trick, as players have not been reporting the issue in the community.

Finally, players can enjoy the ranked grind without having to worry about the game crashing and wasting time in a match that could all end in nothing.

With that being said, you may want to check out the best landing spots on Storm Point, which is the ranked map for split 1 of Season 13.

An Apex Legends leaker has revealed potential plans for a Lifeline Town Takeover on Olympus, which could be seen in Season 13.

Apex Legends Season 13 saw some new additions to Storm Point, including the Downed Beast and IMC Armories that both hold some impressive loot. Having said that, players are yet to see a new Town Takeover since Big Maude was introduced on World’s Edge.

As well as two new events set for this season, new leaks are suggesting that Lifeline will be getting a Town Takeover in Season 13, which could be based on Olympus.

Rumors surrounding a new Town Takeover for Apex Legends Season 13 are circulating the community, with some even believing it may coincide with the leaked Collection Event.

Some leakers thought we would be getting a Bangalore Town Takeover on Storm Point this season, but as we already got the Downed Beast and the IMC Armories, it actually may be more likely that we will be seeing a new Town Takeover for a different map and Legend.

Reputable Apex Legends leaker Thordan Smash stated in a recent video that he now believes that we may see a Lifeline Town Takeover for Olympus in Season 13, stating that the Bangalore Town Takeover has potentially been “scrapped.”

Further, new quips were leaked from the game files mentioning a “Med Station,” and Lifeline has more quips mentioning this new concept than any other Legend. This suggests it may be specific to her, perhaps the Med Station is actually the name of her Town Takeover POI.

Apex Legends leaker Ezra-RC also leaked a version of Olympus that is code-named “LTT” in the files. Many believe this could stand for Lifeline Town Takeover, however, nothing is confirmed as of yet, and the map is just the Season 12 version of Olympus.

As more information is released we’ll be sure to update this piece and provide all the information.
