Apex Legends: When is the Fight Night collection event?

The Fight Night Collection Event is almost here for Apex Legends. A few things have been confirmed for it, including brand new outfits.

The Collection Event for Apex Legends Season 7 will bring a ton of new content for players. Here’s everything that we know so far about the event, including the new skins, LTM, and when it releases.

Collection Events have been an Apex Legends tradition since Season 1. They serve as an opportunity for players to see all the new skins, challenges, and daily objectives that Respawn have planned for them.

The Apex Legends Season 7 collection event will be arriving soon. It is titled Fright Night, and fans are excited to see what new content awaits them. We found out earlier that Town Takeover will be in the form of a Pathfinder boxing arena, but there’s more to see.

When does the Fight Night collection event release?

We haven’t gotten an official release date for the Fight Night collection event yet. The trailer leaked online, but we can’t find anything that confirms when it will take place. Despite this, we can still piece together the most probable date.

The developers said that they plan to have the mid-Season 7 update go live around Monday, January 4, which is when the Holo-Day Bash will end. Respawn may also hold the event around this time to mark the update with new cosmetics and challenges for players.

We expect that Fight Night will take place approximately one week after the end of the current event. You can see the full version of the leaked trailer for this below:

Fight Night skins & cosmetics

Despite the less-than-stellar quality of the leaked trailer, we can still make out many of the new skins and cosmetics that will be available in the collection event. Pathfinder is confirmed to be getting a new look since Town Takeover will be all about him.

Crypto, Gibraltar, Bloodhound, Bangalore, Wattson, Caustic, Loba, Mirage, and Revenant will all be getting new outfits as well. We didn’t see any cosmetic changes for the other Legends, but they may get some too when the event rolls around.

Fight Night collection event LTM

The Winter Express proved to be a popular LTM among Apex fans, so Respawn has another one planned for Fight Night. There is a Japanese version of the event trailer in which they mention a new mode called โ€˜Airdrop escalation takeover.โ€™

The full details of this match aren’t known, but the description explains that โ€˜Care package is replaced by items and full-kitted weapons which rarity increases gradually.โ€™ It seems like we’ll be competing without the use of Evo weapons in this mode.

We might also see a new Heirloom, as those are normally added to the game in collection events. If a new one is revealed, then it will be the third one in Season 7, following those of Gibraltar and Bangalore.

That covers everything that we know about the Fight Night Collection event so far. Until we hear something official from Respawn, we can only speculate about much of what we’ll see when it goes live. Once we hear something new, we’ll be sure to update you.

Apex Legends War Games: Everything there is to know about Ultra Zones

Apex Legends War Games event is well underway with the latest mode, Ultra Zones, taking inspiration from Season 6’s Flash Point LTM.

Apex Legends Ultrazones

Mad Maggie’s Apex Legends takeover continues with War Games Ultra Zones mode, a renewed version of the Season 6 LTM.

Ultra Zones is the newest mode in Apex Legends War Games mini-event and may be familiar to some players.

Since replacing Second Chance, Armour Regen saw a short-lived lifespan being replaced by Ultra Zones at 10am PST, April 14th. The new mode is a rework of the Season 6 LTM, Flashpoint, which received backlash after it came with a host of bugs and performance issues.

Apex Legends Ultrazones

How does Ultra Zones work?

The Ultra Zones War Games mode sees multiple hot zones over the map covered in a glowing blue dome. This means not only more gold and higher tier loot, but also the glowing Flash Points which replenish health and shields.

Instead of the hot zones only featuring one gold item, Maggie has decided to put one gold gun and one gold item in each Ultra Zone, meaning even more gold loot!

After a short period of time in an Ultra Zone, players will passively heal shield and health, making for a fun combat zone where players can sustain fights. Unlike the Season 6 LTM, Flashpoint, all healable items are available during this mode.

Similar to the Armor Regen mode, characters with lots of mobility like Octane and Horizon will make be great at dipping in and out of fights to let your health and shield regenerate.

This mode will be the longest-lasting out of all the modes included in the War Games mini-event, staying until 10 am PST on April 19th.

3 quality-of-life changes to make Apex Legends better on console

Apex Legends developers can make the game even better with these three quality of life changes for console players.

Apex Legends three ways to improve quality of life on console

Apex Legends is a great game on console that has a lot more settings and options available for players unlike other FPS’s of its kind. However, there is still a few things that can make it even better.

Apex Legends developers do such a great job at communicating with the player community, responding to questions, and even implementing requested changes.

The game feels great on console, with a next-gen upgrade sure to be coming in the future. The devs have implemented many settings on the console that we usually only see on PC, such as a FOV slider and Advanced Look Controls.

Although the devs seem to stay on top of community requested changes and bugs, there is three quality of life changes we’d like to see enter the game in the future.

Voice chat volume adjuster

Currently, in Apex Legends on console, there is no option to increase or decrease the volume of in-game voice chat. This can be very off-putting and even ruin games due to bad communication between teammates.

It seems cross-play may also be a reason for this, as Xbox players are significantly quieter for PlayStation players, which is something many in the community have noticed. If this is fixed, it would be a great quality of life change for those who life to solo and duo que.

Covert teammate text to chat

Although there is an option to convert this already, it also converts your own voice to text chat and anyone else using a mic, which can be extremely off-putting for the teammates who are already communicating through voice chat.

It would be nice to see an option to convert text to chat without affecting those who are using microphones; a quality-of-life change not many are talking about.

The current option console players have is to convert text chat to an automated voice, like iPhone’s Siri. However, this can be extremely annoying and even hard to make out what people are trying to communicate.

Make no fill stick

No fill was added into the game during the Chaos Theory event update, but there is one issue with it that would be a great quality of life change. Before you enter a game, players now have the option to no fill, which means they will enter without teammates, whether in Trios or Duos.

The one issue is that after you select this option, once you return to the lobby the option gets reset. It would be a small, but meaningful change improving the game’s quality of life.

Wraith buff & new hop-ups coming in Apex Legends Season 9

Dataminers and the community have noticed a potential Wraith buff for season 9, as well as some new Hop-ups.

The new video celebrating 100 million players may have revealed a possible Wraith buff for Season 9, while the latest leaks also point towards some new Hop-ups that players could be seeing soon.

In the celebration video posted by @PlayApex, it seems it wasn’t just teasers of the Olympus map changes and new Legend, Valk.

The video may have also teased a Wraith buff, which a lot of the community believe is well needed since her changes in the previous few patches.

During the end portion of the video, a short clip is seen of Wraith entering her Phase Walk ability without much of a delay. Since taking some serious nerfs in Season 5, Season 6, and the current Season 8 patch, it seems Wraith mains finally have something to look forward to.

These past patches changed her Naruto run animation, increased the time it takes to enter her tactical ability, and also increased the size of her hit-box. This was ultimately because of her extremely high win rate compared to other Legends, so the devs saw it necessary to give her a nerf.

If this snippet in the new celebration video is true, this could see Wraith back at the top. Having the ability to instantly enter her Phase Walk is like a get-out-of-jail-free card.

New Hop-ups

Apex Legends data miner @Shrugtal also leaked a new Hop-up entering the game possibly in Season 9 for the RE-45 and the Alternator.

The leaked Hop-up is called “Armorsmith” in the game files, and could potentially level up your Evo Shields faster.

To have this kind of Hop-up on non-meta guns is a great idea as it would see both experienced and less experienced players benefit from using guns that aren’t necessarily the best of the bunch, increasing player-gun variety.

Another leaked Hop-up is the Marksman’s Tempo, which would complement the leaked Marksman category coming to Apex Legends in the future.

The new Marksman category was leaked by @Biast12 and will feature the G7-Scout, 30-30 Repeater, and the upcoming Compound Bow. These will be the guns that may potentially benefit from this new Hop-up.

The Hop-up is said to increase the rate of fire upon a successful shot, a very clever idea. With the new Compound Bow coming to the game soon, this could make for a very good Hop-up to get people using the new weapon.

New Hop-ups does mean we could potentially be seeing some current ones get put in the archive, much like we have seen for the Disrupter Rounds, Select Fire, and Double Tap.
