One of the developers for Apex Legends has reaffirmed that Respawn Entertainment currently has no plans to bring Titans to the battle royale anytime soon.

Respawn Entertainment has achieved great success with both Apex Legends and the Titanfall series. The two properties are confirmed to exist in the same universe, and this has led to fans asking for crossover content.

Apex players have asked for features like wall-running and other Titanfall mechanics to be integrated into the battle royale, but Respawn have repeatedly stated that they want to avoid similarities between the two.

Recently, a new leak emerged that an upcoming Legend named Blisk will be able to summon an Auto-Titan through his Ultimate. This has led to massive speculation among Apex Legends fans about the potential arrival of Titans in the game.

Apex Legends Game Director Chad Grenier previously teased some potential Titanfall content for Season 9 but has now reaffirmed that Respawn has no plans to bring Titans to the battle royale.

“We don’t have any plans to put Titans into Apex, at least in our current roadmap,” he said. “They are part of the universe but you’re right that they completely change the dynamic of the game. Maybe someday in another mode but nothing planned.”

While some players were worried about the effect that the arrival of Titans would have on the game, it’s worth keeping in mind that Auto-Titans are completely different. This means that the recent leaks about Blisk could still be true.

The developers have previously tested having Titans in Apex Legends, and they decided that it wouldn’t fit the game’s main mode. However, this doesn’t mean that we won’t see them arrive as part of a future limited-time mode.

Apex Legends fans have spotted other references to Titanfall before, so we might see more when Season 9 goes live in May.
