Apex Legends dev reveals all bug fixes coming in next major patch
As part of Respawn Entertainment’s mission to make Apex Legends an unmissable battle royale experience, one of the devs has announced that a bunch of bug fixes are on the way in a major patch for Season 8.
There’s a whole lot going on in Apex Legends Season 8 at the moment with the brand new Chaos Theory Collection Event going on. Not only that, but we’re also very quickly winding down to the end of Season 8 and looking ahead to the forthcoming drop of Season 9 content.
It seems there’s plenty of work for Respawn to be getting on with in regards to Apex Legends, and a new Tweet has suggested that even more is being done in the background as well.
A chunky update seems to be in development that will surely remove many glitches and bugs that are tucked away in the game files.
Apex Legends Game Director Chad Grenier recently took to Twitter to let the legion of Apex Legends players know that a big update is on the way.
He said, “We’re working on a hotfix to address several issues that will hopefully go out Monday morning.” In the post, there’s also a picture that comes with it detailing specific fixes that should hopefully improve the game’s performance.
A cursory glance at the notes reveals that the update will seek to address multiple areas of Apex Legends.

The patch will reinstate a myriad of missing textures, it will fix problems that can cause server and game connection issues, and will even fix the Battle Pass.
Another interesting thing to note is that the Tweet also mentions that “some items are redacted because they’re for content that has not been turned on yet.” This serves to underline that Respawn is hard at work on upcoming content for Season 9.
