Apex Legends devs confirm Bocek Bow nerfs “coming soon”
The Bocek Bow was one of the biggest additions in Apex Legends Season 9, but after plenty of complaints about its power, Respawn have confirmed they plan to nerf it in the near future.
The Season 9: Legacy update brought a plethora fun new content to Apex Legends, including a 3v3 Arenas mode, and a brand-new Legend named Valkyrie. Season 9 also introduced a new weapon called the Bocek Bow.
While some players have been enjoying the new weapon, others feel that it gives the user too much of an advantage. As a result, Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that they plan to fix this in the near future.
Streamer Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has stated that he’s enjoying Apex Legends Season 9 so far, but he has a few complaints about the Bocek Bow. He claimed that the weapon doesn’t feel right in its current state.
“Bow is completely turning me off from taking fights, though,” he said. “Feel like I’m fighting in a survival game. Not sure how it is in pubs etc., but at [the] top play level, it actually might be the worst meta ever.”
With NiceWigg making it clear he’s desperate for the bow to be balanced, David Bocek, the developer who the bow is named after, then confirmed that a nerf is coming soon.
Bocek didn’t go into detail about what the nerf will entail, or when exactly it will arrive. We could see some major damage reduction to the bow, along with decreased accuracy and other changes.
Hopefully, the changes they come up with will fix all the issues that players have with the Bocek Bow. New Legends and weapons often go through a rough period when they’re initially introduced, and require balancing changes.
