The Apex Legends Genesis Collection Event has finally been revealed with a brand new trailer showing off skins, Revenant’s Heirloom, and the return of the original Kings Canyon and World’s Edge maps.
With the recent “dry spell” in Apex Legends, players will be ecstatic to know the next Collection Event will be arriving very soon, bring a host of new content to the game.
Not only will the event bring new cosmetics after teasing Skull Town’s return the last couple of days, but players will also finally get to relive the original Kings Canyon and World’s Edge maps once again.
Apex Legends “Genesis” Collection Event
The Season 9 Collection Event will officially arrive for all players on June 29 and will most likely drop at around 10 AM PST. The event will run until July 13, meaning the event will span a two-week period.
The event will bring new cosmetics, Revenant’s “Dead Man’s Curve” Heirloom, as well as the original Kings Canyon and World’s Edge maps.
The Genesis Collection Event will also bring new patch notes including:
- Legend changes
- Arena’s balancing and price changes
- Lots of bug changes
Original Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, and Skull Town in Arenas
The Apex Legends Genesis Collection Event will see the return of Kings Canyon and World’s Edge in their original forms.
This will be a new experience for many players and their first time playing on these maps, as the newer versions are very different from the originals.
Players will finally get to drop back into Skull Town in Battle Royale and Arenas, as they also announced that it would be one of the new maps for the 3v3 mode.
Players will also be able to drop in Capitol City yet again before it was destroyed and turned into Fragment East and West.
Revenant’s Heirloom and new skins
Just like any other Collection Event, the Apex Legends Genesis Collection Event will see the villainous Revenant gain his “Dead Man’s Curse” scythe, a scary sight for anyone who comes into close combat with him.
This Heirloom was leaked a while back, and it seems those dataminers were spot on, as fans will finally be able to get their hands on this huge Heirloom come June 29.

Further, to unlock this Heirloom, players will have to unlock every cosmetic available in the event store, usually around 24 items. This can be very pricey, but players will be able to use materials for skins to craft, reducing the price slightly.
Players will also gain some new cosmetics in the Apex Legends Genesis Collection Event Prize Tracker, which will feature Charms, a Wattson skin, Charge Rifle, and Eva-8 weapon skins.
This is great for those who don’t want to spend money on the game, as it allows them to get some new items from the event.
We can’t wait to get our hands on the new Apex Legends Genesis Collection Event come June 29, as Apex Legends has been feeling slightly stale content-wise in the past few weeks.
Hopefully, this will get players back onto the game and boost the hype again, like when Season 9 dropped.
