Rival battle royales Apex Legends and Warzone are no strangers to borrowing ideas from one another, and according to a new Apex leak, it appears that Respawn are set to add a Warzone-style cosmetic very soon.

Apex Legends Season 13 is well and truly underway, and it brought a host of new content to Respawn’s successful battle royale. On top of a new character in the form of Newcastle, it also shook up the Storm Point map, from a new POI to the addition of IMC Armories.

Although Season 14 is still some way off, it appears that the devs are still thinking up new ideas to keep players satisfied until the next major update.

According to a new leak, Apex Legends will soon have a new cosmetic to unlock, and it’s plucked straight from CoD Warzone.

Apex Legends leaker HYPERMYST revealed that weapon stickers will allegedly be coming to the game in the coming weeks.

Much like in Warzone, it appears that players will be able to decorate their weapons with creative stickers obtained through packs, adding an extra layer of personalization to the guns picked up around the map.

From the stickers shown off so far, it seems that the cosmetics will mostly depict the game’s many playable legends, reinvented in a quirky, cartoon style. The likes of Wraith, Bloodhound, and Revenant have been leaked, with many more likely to follow.

On HYPERMIST’s YouTube channel the leaker also gave players their first glimpse at how they will look in-game.

In the video it looked as though a maximum of five could be applied at once per weapon, meaning players will have plenty of choices on where to place each sticker to find the perfect look.

They also showed off a new type of pack called a Holospray Theme Pack, which will most likely be the way players can unlock new stickers along with other cosmetics like Holosprays.

This isn’t the first time that Apex Legends and Warzone have borrowed ideas from each other. Back in Season 2 Reloaded, Raven Software introduced Redeploy Ballons to Caldera, a feature popularized by Apex Legends.

Now it seems that Respawn are taking cues from their rivals by introducing a cosmetic that has featured in Warzone for a long time.

There isn’t currently any official word on when the stickers will make their way into Apex Legends, but given that footage has already leaked we shouldn’t have to wait for too long.
