Apex Legends leak reveals Wattson Heirloom 3D model
Apex Legends dropped their highly anticipated Evolution Collection Event update on September 14, not only giving players some new content to enjoy right now but also providing dataminers with the code for the Wattson Heirloom.
Apex Legends Evolution Collection Event update introduced some great new content for players. As well as “Big Maude” taking its place outside of Lava City on World’s Edge, players were also given a new collection of cosmetics along with Rampart’s Heirloom.
One thing every update provides is new code for dataminers to dig around and uncover upcoming content.
This time it’s Wattson’s Heirloom, which dataminers have actually found a 3D model for.
Apex Legends Dataminers have been pretty accurate about upcoming content in the past, previously revealing Rampart’s Heirloom as a wrench and that it would be coming in Season 10.
The leaks for this season’s Collection Even update revealed Wattson’s Heirloom, which also hints that she will indeed be the next Legend to receive one.
Apex Legends Wattson Heirloom
Dataminer GarretLeaks is behind the Wattson Heirloom leak, as he posted an image of the 3D model and some suggestions for what it will be like.
Unfortunately, the current version of Wattson’s Heirloom doesn’t have any textures or details, but it still gives players a great idea of what they can expect when it releases, which could be as soon as Season 11.
The design has been compared to a Speedometer. The device Police units use to track the MPH of a vehicle. The Heirloom is obviously not going to be a Speedometer, but the similarities are quite amusing.
In Garret’s latest YouTube video about the Heirloom, it is interesting that he describes it as a “prodding taser type of thing.”
Further, another dataminer by the name of Shrugtal has provided further details about the Heirloom, presenting its name in the files and a work in progress inspect animation.
Shrugtal revealed the Heirloom is called “nessie_gadget” in the files and Wattson actually strokes and scratches it in some of the animations. Shrugtal believes the device will probably be “both a taser and a Nessie Tamagotchi that has Nessie AI on the screen that reacts to her actions.”
This is an exciting concept and definitely fits Wattson’s Nessie-loving personality. It is good to hear, especially if you’re a Wattson main that the Heirloom will be more than just a taser, but actually have a lot of her personality within it.
This gives her Heirloom a lot of depth. It seems the developers are moving more towards putting the Legend’s personalities into their Heirlooms, especially as Rampart‘s wrench emphasizes her love for bubblegum.
We’ll have to wait for more information and details regarding Wattson’s Heirloom as we edge closer to Season 11. Further updates will allow dataminers to see progress with the design.
