Apex Legends players call for Respawn to add Overwatch’s skin feature
Apex Legends fans are asking for the devs to incorporate the “quality of life skin feature” from Overwatch so that navigating the cosmetics menus becomes less of a hassle.
There are a ton of colorful and unique characters that you can choose to play as when jumping into a game of Apex Legends. You can also make them look even cooler by equipping some neat cosmetics, and there are some new ones in Season 8.
However, Apex players often have a hard time browsing through the cosmetics menus players, and this has become a frustrating issue over the years. That’s why a few players are asking for Respawn Entertainment to borrow a feature from Blizzard’s hero-shooter, Overwatch.
Currently, all of your owned skins and cosmetics in Apex Legends can only be explored through a long list that is tedious to navigate through. As the developers add more and more cosmetics to the game, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to look through this list.
Reddit user Jawwles12467 posted a thread to the Apex Legends subreddit suggesting that Respawn should add a quality of life skin feature borrowed from Overwatch. This will make sure that all of your owned skins are listed at the top of the menu.
At the time of writing, this thread has garnered over 6,000 upvotes, since many fans agree that this would greatly improve Apex’s cosmetics menu. Looking through the list would be less of a hassle since you could easily keep track of which skins you actually own.
Respawn has a tendency to listen to fan feedback, so introducing this change at some point in the future isn’t out of the question. Otherwise, they could also employ other methods to improve the menu so that it appears less busy.
Apex Legends Season 8 has an influx of brand new skins, along with a few bugs within the cosmetics, and Respawn will keep updating the game with new content. Hopefully, an improved menu will be among those changes.
