Apex Legends players claim anti-cheat is causing false bans
Apex Legends players are reporting that the game’s anti-cheat system is banning innocent players due to connection issues.
Apex Legends Season 13 has almost come to an end, with the devs officially revealing details about the new Season 14 Legend, Level Cap increase, Kings Canyon map update, and Laser Sight attachment.
While a lot of the community are excited for the new update, with an Apex pro even feeling that this season could be “broken” in a good way, some aren’t so happy with the game’s anti-cheat, as many players are reporting false bans.
Popular Apex Legends content creator and leaker Garret has brought these false bans to the community’s attention, showcasing a number of Reddit posts that claim undeserving bans.
Players believe that they are being falsely banned due to “connection dropping,” as the common theme between all of the Reddit posts and comments is that the ban occurs after players are kicked.
With Apex Legends Season 14 set to arrive on August 9, you can imagine how frustrated these players will be, as they look for support in hopes to resolve the false bans in time for the update.
However, those who believe they have been falsely banned are claiming that “support will not help.” One of the Reddit posts states that “the appeal process for getting banned by easy anti-cheat doesn’t exist and this needs to be fixed.”
Respawn Entertainment are yet to comment on the issue, but hopefully, something is done about the false bans in time for the new season. For more, check out all of the buffs and nerfs coming in Apex Legends Season 14.
