Apex Legends is getting a Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence style mode called Revival in Season 22, which allows players to stay in the action for longer.

The mode will be available as a Trios takeover and it sees players diving into matches as normal, but there are no Respawn Beacons or Banners. Instead, after being taken out, players will spawn back into the match after a timer so long as at least one player is alive on their squad.

A Drop-In Sequence will commence and you will drop near the safest teammate if your team manages to survive without you.

The timer will be a minimum of 30 seconds, and it will increase with each round. Once Round 4 comes around, Revival is over, and you will no longer be able to spawn back in if you’re taken out. If everyone on the squad is killed before all timers are finished, your squad will be eliminated from the game.

You can speed the timer up and get squadmates back in the game quicker by doing damage, getting knocks, and more, so it’s worth staying active if you want your teammates back faster.

Revival brings a fast-paced twist to the battle royale.

For those familiar with Resurgence in Call of Duty, Apex Legends’ Revival is very similar. It will be fast-paced and intense, as players try their best to stay alive and get their teammates back in.

Revival will be played on normal maps and Season 22’s rotation will be E-District, Broken Moon, and Storm Point. More details about Revival will likely be announced in the patch notes, so we’ll be sure to update this piece as and when they come out.

This mode will be available via Trios at the start of Season 22, and the Revival mechanic will not be featured in any other mode. However, during the press event for the new season, the devs did reveal that they will look to move Revival from Trios into a separate mode eventually.

This would give players another mode to enjoy alongside Battle Royale, Mixtape, and LTMs. Speaking of which, the devs also mentioned Quads and Solos in the press event, stating that they do have plans to bring them back with changes, but they didn’t reveal a time frame.
