Apex Legends Season 13: Saviors trailer reveals details on Newcastle, Bangalore, and Storm Point map changes
Apex Legends Season 13 has now been officially revealed following a new trailer titled “Saviors,” which provides more details on Newcastle, Bangalore’s leaving party, and Storm Point map changes.
Apex Legends Season 12 is coming to an end, and despite bringing more success and great content to the game, even drawing in popular streamers like Dr Disrespect, the community is ready for a new season.
Apart from teasers and leaks, not much is confirmed about Apex Legends Season 13, but a new trailer entitled “Saviors” has revealed more information on the content players will be seeing.
Apex Legends Season 13 named Saviors
First off, it seems Apex Legends Season 13 will indeed be called Saviors, which is the title of the new trailer.
Of course, this is referencing Bangalore’s attempts to find her brother, who is actually much closer to her than she thinks.
Newcastle reveal & abilities
The trailer provided key details about the new Legend as well, Newcastle. Turns out that this Legend is actually Jackson, Bangalore’s lost brother who is revealed at the end of the trailer.
Bangalore was meant to be leaving the Games after the news about her brother’s death, being replaced by Newcastle. But after Bangalore’s leaving party was interrupted, she eventually finds out that Newcastle is actually Jackson, and is now staying in the Apex Games.
We also got some animation of Newcastle’s abilities as well, but as the trailer isn’t gameplay, they may look slightly different in-game. We get to see his shield Tactical, which he throws out to protect Bangalore and Mirage from oncoming fire.
We also get to see his passive, picking up and moving a downed Pathfinder while protecting him at the same time with his energy shield. Lastly, we also saw his Ultimate ability, where Newcastle jumps up into the air and places cover as he lands.
Storm Point map changes
The Downed Beast
After teasers and leaks surrounding new updates to Storm Point, this trailer revealed what players should expect once Saviors drops. A massive sea monster arrived on the beaches of Storm Point, which the Legends ultimately killed.
This sea monster’s body is now just a “Downed Beast,” which will likely become a new POI for players.
New weapon – Nemesis AR
The community also spotted a new weapon in the trailer, which players believe could be the leaked Nemesis AR.
This is said to be an energy weapon that has some sort of burst function as well as full-auto mode. Keep in mind that this is not confirmed, but if any new information comes out regarding the weapon, we will be sure to let you know.
Armory and Spectres
We also got a look at the new Armory structures and enemy Spectres that were leaked to be coming in Season 13: Saviors. During the trailer, Bangalore and Newcastle enter one of these armories and have to fight off a bunch of Titanfal droids after Bangalore attempts to take a weapon.
It’s likely that players will have to do the same in-game, fight off a horde of enemy AI, and then loot up whatever they want. The armory seems to hold a load of weapons, so this could be great for those players looking to run a particular loadout each game.
Well there you have it, that’s everything revealed in the Apex Legends Season 13 Saviors reveal trailer. For more, check out everything we know about cross-progression.
