Apex Legends Season 14 Legend Vantage has community-inspired Pathfinder Passive
The brand-new Apex Legends Season 14 Legend has been revealed as Vantage, who possesses a Passive ability that is eerily similar to a community-requested Pathfinder ability.
The Apex Legends devs have revealed Vantage as the Season 14 Legend. With a Sniper-focused kit, Vantage is set to shake up the meta and show the other Legends who’s boss on the newly overhauled Kings Canyon map.
Along with the new Legend, the current roster will also be getting some buffs and nerfs. The Apex Legends community have been wanting Pathfinder to get his own Passive ability for many seasons now, as his Passive of being able to use Survey Beacons and gain his Ultimate after doing so is considered slightly underwhelming.
That said, it doesn’t seem like the friendly robot will be getting one anytime soon, as Vantage’s Passive is very similar to the ability the community were suggesting that Pathfinder should have.
Vantage’s Passive ability in Apex Legends: Hunted is called Spotter’s Lens, and it allows the Legend to zoom in when unarmed.
This is extremely similar to the community-requested Pathfinder Passive, which would allow the Recon Legend to zoom in while unarmed and would also “highlight the enemies for the whole team.”
While Vantage’s Passive doesn’t highlight the enemies for the team, it does provide similar information such as what Legend it is she is looking at, how many teammates they have alive, and what rarity their armor is.
This is clearly why we haven’t seen Pathfinder with this new Passive, as it has been in the works for Vantage.
It’s unclear whether Pathfinder will receive a new Passive, but as his current one is considered not very unique, perhaps we will see something new for the grappling robot in the future.
