Apex Legends servers down ahead of 13.1 patch update
Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends servers are currently down after the 13.1 patch was accidentally pushed live on Xbox.
We are now officially halfway through Apex Legends Season 13, as June 21 marks the date for the 13.1 patch, which not only brings various changes and updates, but also new content in the Awakening Collection Event.
Players on PlayStation can pre-download Apex updates before the patch is officially live, but it seems a mistake has been made for the Xbox version which has caused the servers to be shut down.
The 13.1 patch update is set to go live at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST, but players on Xbox were surprised to log in before this time and find the new update on their game.
Although they weren’t able to see much, some were actually able to access the firing range, and test out some of the new updates such as the Lifeline buffs.
With that being said, don’t worry about not being able to connect as it isn’t just you, as there is currently a platform-wide server outage for Apex Legends.
It seems this issue of Xbox players being able to access the update early has caused the devs to shut down the servers and look for a fix. It’s unclear how long the servers will be down, as it could even be until the update goes live.
Make sure you stay tuned via our dedicated Apex Legends server status page so that you know exactly when the servers are back up and running.
With the new update set to launch soon, we hope this server downtime doesn’t run passed the update time, as the community is eager to experience the new content with the Awakening Collection Event.
