Apex Legends Thrillseekers Event: Release date, skins, new Arenas map, & more
Apex Legends have revealed their next upcoming event for players to enjoy entitled “Thrillseekers,” which was announced along with an action-packed trailer.
Although players are still currently enjoying the new Genesis Collection Event, which has brought nostalgia with the original versions of both Kings Canyon and World’s Edge, it seems the developers are willing to give even more.
Despite some server issues in the past week, Respawn Entertainment is desperate to keep players occupied and enjoying Apex Legends, especially within Arenas, which has been popular due to Skull Town’s introduction to the mode.
When is the Apex Legends Thrillseekers Event?
The Apex Legends Thrillseekers is an Arenas-based event that will drop on July 13 and end on August 3.
Players will be able to log in during this period and participate in event challenges to receive new rewards, including a variety of cosmetics and the option to purchase.
Thrillseekers Event Trailer
The new Thrillseekers Event was first seen over on Steam, where the trailer was premiered. The trailer follows Octane, a true thrillseeker, as he traverses and encounters other Legends in the new Arenas map called “Overflow,” which was previously leaked.
The trailer shows off all the upcoming skins that players can expect from the event and showcases the new Arenas map, which fits well with the thrillseekers theme as players will have to fight amongst an abundance of lava.
Apex Legends Thrillseekers Event rewards and skins
Like most events, the Apex Legends Thrillseekers Event will also host a new reward tracker, allowing players to gain new items for free by completing challenges and playing the game. The Thrillseekers Event will see three weekly reward trackers over the event period. Here are some of the most notable items:
- July 13 – 20: Devotion skin and Wastelander Rampart skin
- July 20 – 27: Two Apex Packs and battle pass boosters
- July 27 – August 3: Boxing charm and Lethal Enforcer Bangalore skin
Apart from these items obtained through completing challenges, players will also have access to an Apex Legends Thrillseekers Event store, which will feature new skins for Legends and even weapon skins for the R-301 and R-99.
Players can opt to purchase individual skins or bundles. The Mirage and Gibraltar bundles feature a charm and banner, whereas the “Head 2 Head” bundle features the Pathfinder and Revenant skins and the R-99 and R-301 skins, which are themed similarly.
These bundles are fairly pricey, but their detail and design are definitely worth the Apex Coins.
Apex Legends Thrillseekers new map: “Overflow”
The new Arenas event will also bring a new Arenas map called “Overflow.” This was previously leaked and will be coming to the game when the event drops.
Arenas have featured various maps since Season 9’s launch, with some already existing POIs taking up the third slot in the rotation after the two Arenas exclusive maps Party Crasher and Phase Runner. Now it seems Arenas will be getting a third Arenas exclusive map in Overflow, which looks very interesting.
The map seems to be set in a similar environment to World’s Edge, featuring loads of lava and an industrial-style foundation. This will be great for getting players either back into or into the 3v3 Arenas mode.
Well, that’s all there is to know about the new Apex Legends Thrillseekers Event. For more Apex Legends updates, stay tuned to Charli INTEL.
