In a game of Apex Legends, your sensitivity settings can be the difference between life and death, so here’s how you can find your perfect sensitivity in Apex Legends.

When you hop into a game of Apex Legends, you’ll face tough competition from other players, and the difficulty will progressively increase. You can improve your odds of success with the right sensitivity settings.

These impact your camera movements in the game, and pro players prioritize these settings to get the best out of their talents. If you don’t know your perfect sensitivity, then this guide has you covered.

How to find your perfect sensitivity in Apex Legends

Everybody has different needs, so copying someone else’s sensitivity settings in Apex Legends won’t work. You will need to find your own perfect sensitivity by adjusting the settings as you see fit.

The best place to do this is the Firing Range, which got a major overhaul in Season 17. Players can use this space to take their time and keep playing around with their sensitivity settings until it feels right. Use the customization options to recreate in-game situations and even have bots spawning and shooting you.

The Firing Range is the perfect place to optimize your sensitivity in Apex Legends.

Use the Firing Range’s varied environments to get to grips with close-range and long-range sensitivities so that you can perfect your sensitivity settings.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go into the Firing Range
  2. Flick your recticle between the dummies and make note of its movements
  3. Go to the Main Menu
  4. Click on the gear symbol in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen
  5. Select Settings and then go to Mouse/Keyboard or Controller (depending on what you’re playing with)
  6. Adjust your sensitivity settings accordingly

It’s important that you make sure the sensitivity allows you to turn around in one full swipe. Enemies can sneak up on you from behind, and you’ll need to turn quickly in order to respond to them.

If you feel that your crosshair moves too quickly and goes too far, then you’ll need to lower your sensitivity. However, if it’s moving too slowly and seems unresponsive, then you’ll need to raise this setting.

It’s also important to note the deadzone setting for controller, as this will make your sensitivity feel less touchy if on and more sensitive if there is none.
