The Apex Legends community has dealt with its fair share of errors that cause problems for them in the battle royale title, including the “UI Images ran out of room” error message that was crashing the game.

Now, reports are coming in of another error message that reads “SSL connect error” when players try connecting to the Apex Legends servers. If you’ve encountered this problem then we’ve got you covered with how to fix the SSL connection error.

How to fix Apex Legends SSL connection error

You can fix the SSL connection error by signing in to your EA account through the EA website on a phone or PC. This solution has been confirmed to fix the problem for multiple Apex Legends players.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Visit the EA sign-in page.
  2. Sign in to your EA account on a phone or PC.
  3. Accept the terms and conditions with EA.
  4. Try launching Apex Legends again.

At the time of writing, the Apex Legends developers haven’t responded to this issue by implementing a proper fix for the SSL connection error, so you’ll need to rely on this workaround for now.

The good news is that this solution has had a high success rate with players that have tried it. Many of them have reported being able to log in to Apex Legends right away after following these steps.

It can be extremely frustrating to encounter error messages when you’re about to hop into a match. Once a proper fix for this problem is implemented, we’ll be sure to update our guide with that information.
