How to get better at Apex Legends
Teamwork makes the dream work
Apex Legends is a team-based shooter, meaning you will find the most success when playing with your teammates and taking down enemies through combining your shots and abilities.
Players have a lot of health and shield in Apex Legends, so being coordinated with your teammates will help when it comes to taking down enemies fast.
A lot of the time, winning a fight can be based on which team gets the first down, so again, making sure you’ve coordinated with your team by communicating and using the Ping system is so important.
Being smart with cover
Another critical tip for getting better at Apex Legends is being smart with cover. The maps in Apex Legends offer a variety of terrain for players to battle on which can sometimes be close, medium, or long-ranged engagements.
One consistent thing is the availability of cover, no matter where you are on the map. Whether it’s crouching to hide behind a divot in the terrain or taking cover behind a rock, vehicle, or tree, using cover to reduce incoming damage is vital.
Great players will make sure they are always nearby cover so that after they get their shots off, they can easily slip behind something. Further, you can also be smart with cover by juking enemies out, making them guess which side you will come out from and when you will pop out again.
Firing Range
The Firing Range is an excellent tool for players to get better at not only accuracy and controlling recoil but also movement and IQ. In the Firing Range, you have the freedom to check out all the guns, their attachments, as well as every Legend and their abilities.
Get to know everything there is to know about these things, as having as much information and IQ about the game is essential for getting better. As they say, practice makes perfect!
Studying great players
Finally, studying great players is another essential tip for becoming better at Apex Legends, as this will help develop your IQ.
Great streamers like NICKMERCS or iiTzTimmy are great for getting to grips with the speed and mechanical skill needed to become an outstanding player.
Further, watching the ALGS will also help you get better at Apex Legends, as watching how teams move, how they communicate, and what positions they take up will help you on your way.
That’s all the top tips we have for getting better at Apex Legends. Make sure you take these tips in and think about them next time you play. Check out our piece on Wattson’s Tactical ability being worse than the other Defensive Legends.
