New Apex Legends weapons revealed in massive leak
With a huge leak in the Apex Legends community this week, players were given a look at some new weapons possibly coming to the game in the future.
While Apex Legends Season 12 failed to introduce a new weapon, we did get some great new content such as the Control LTM, which is said to be returning in the future.
However, for those who are intrigued about new weapons, a recent leak has revealed gameplay of five unreleased weapons, one of which could be introduced as early as Season 13.
In a leak that contained huge amounts of future content, including unreleased Legends and Valkyrie’s Heirloom, we were also given a look at some of the new weapons that respawn might be working on.
The leaks were posted on Reddit by user 5849373-throwaway, but since the link was taken down, another user by the name of Legitimate_Chapter82 uploaded the clip to the ApexUncovered subreddit.
In the clip, fans are shown five new weapons, and while not all of them have their own models, with some taking the form of already present weapons, their recoil and overall behaviour will be completely new.
The weapons shown are the following:
- Nemesis
- Scorpion C80
- Maelstrom
- Fanatic
- Gemini
Although these are leaks and may not be true, the Rampage LMG was a leaked weapon in Season 9 which eventually came into the game in Season 10.
In the Reddit post, the user speculates which class each weapon will be, with the Nemesis energy Assault Rifle being the most fleshed out with its own 3D model. The Maelstorm seems to be a fast-firing, low damage LMG, while the Gemini is yet another fast-firing energy SMG.
These weapons all look very unique, especially the Fanatic, which seems to be akimbo energy pistols that can charge up to do more damage.
Further, the Scorpion is very intriguing, as it seems to have the same ammo type as the bow, but fires very fast with a lot of damage, as if it is an Assault Rifle. Seeing as these are leaks and speculation, it’s best to take all of this information lightly, as some of these weapons may not even be released.
That’s all for now. For more on Apex Legends, be sure to check out everything we know about the mobile release for Respawn’s battle royale.
