NICKMERCS Apex Legends

Picking the perfect combination of characters to have in your Apex Legends squad can be a tricky business. Luckily, popular streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has pointed out the two he thinks are a must-have for every Apex Legends team.

NICKMERCS caused a bit of a stir when he announced he would be taking a break from Warzone, which he had been a loyal player of since launch, in favor of Apex Legends.

He’s since gone on to express how much more enjoyable he finds Respawn’s battle royale thanks to its ranked modes.

Since making the jump, he’s been uploading videos discussing different parts of the game, from the features he thinks it needs to his preferred settings. Now, he’s revealed which characters he sees as essential to Apex Legends’ success.

Bloodhound Apex Legends

In a recent video hilariously titled “Using wallhacks in Apex Legends,” NICKMERCS said there are two characters which could be the “difference between ranking up or dropping down.”

He explained that every team needs to have either a Seer or a Bloodhound in their ranks to give themselves the best possible chance at victory.

This is down to the priceless information they can help you relay back to your team.

“I’m telling you now if you have a good Seer or a good Bloodhound, it’s the best thing for your team,” Nick said. “If you use the champion right, it’s like having wallhacks.”

Seer in Apex Legends

Both characters specialize in scouting and tracking enemies, meaning they can be invaluable in helping your team decide its next play. Bloodhound is one of Apex’s original roster and has been adopted by many players since its launch. He has the following abilities:

  • Passive: Tracker – See tracks left behind by enemy players
  • Tactical: Eye of the Allfather – Temporarily highlight hidden enemeis and traps in buidlings ahead
  • Ultimate: Beast of the Hunt – Enhance your senses, speed up movement and highlight enemies

On the other hand, Seer is new for Season 10 and has proved so overpowered that Respawn is working on a nerf for the Hero. His abilities are:

  • Passive: Heat Seeker – Hear and see the heartbeat of enemies when aiming down sights
  • Tactical: Focus of Attention – Summon micro-drones which reveal enemies and interrupt their abilities
  • Ultimate: Exhibit – Forms a sphere of micro-drones, locating enemies who are firing and sprinting within

NICKMERCS uses the rest of the video to show Bloodhound in action. He consistently uses his various powers to pinpoint where rival squads are set up and informs his teammates to make sure they are prepared.

Eventually, it helps Nick and his team to the win in an exhilarating fashion.
