Will Arenas return to Apex Legends?

Apex Legends introduced Arenas as a fast-paced mode to help players hone their skills without worrying about losing ranks. The mode was removed after a couple of seasons, and if you want to play it again, here’s everything we know about whether Arenas will return to Apex Legends.

Will Arenas return to Apex Legends?

In an interview with Dexerto, Apex Legends devs hinted at the return of Arena but did not provide an official date for the same. Evan Nikolich, senior design director of Apex Legends, admitted that “Arenas wasn’t doing the job,” but when asked about the return, the devs stated: “We’re looking at it.”

Why was Arenas removed from Apex Legends?

Apex Legends Season 16 removed Arenas from the game and replaced it with a TDM mode initially, and then the Mixtape playlist.

The dev’s reasoning behind the decision to shut down Arenas was that they felt the mode wasn’t hitting their expectations and failed to provide the gameplay cycle they intended for the mode.

Ultimately, it seems Arenas in Apex Legends just wasn’t hitting the mark for the devs, so they felt it would be best to remove it.
