UPDATE – October 7: Activision has updated the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered FAQ to reveal that the total storage expected for both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is 130GB. Their site has stated that this is a high-end estimate, which also includes any Day 1 patches, and it also includes the space required for the additional 6 maps coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered by 12/31/16.

The estimated storage space required for Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered (Legacy, Digital Deluxe, or Legacy Pro) is a combined 130 GB. This is a high-end estimate, which includes both games, any Day 1 updates, as well as the additional Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer maps to be released before Dec. 31, 2016.

French Retailer Micromania has started to hand out just a blank Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy box with the Modern Warfare Remastered campaign code for those that pre-purchased the PS4 version. They are the only retailer actually giving out a box, with no Infinite Warfare disc. Apparently, customers have to go back on November 4 to get the Infinite Warfare disc.

This box has revealed a couple of interesting things: first off, the game, both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered will require 130GB space total. This total space is for both Modern Warfare Remastered and Infinite Warfare. It is possible that this large amount of space is required because of the PS4 Pro support, which lets the game run at 4K on the new console. But since it’s the same game across all PS4, it appears all players will need to get that patch once released.

It’s also unclear whether or not the additional 6MP maps that are coming to Modern Warfare Remastered requires more space or is included in that 130GB minimum number.

We should also note that the size of the games will vary by region and platform.

In addition, it has also revealed that alongside High Moon Studios was involved with Infinite Warfare’s development, alongside Infinity Ward. Raven Software, Certain Affinity, and Beenox developed Modern Warfare Remastered.

As we get additional info we will update; stay tuned.
