Baldur’s Gate 3 mod finally lets you reach level 20
Larian StudiosBaldur’s Gate 3 is a game that has a lot of content pulled from D&D lore, but it also has a lot of limitations. Now, thanks to the BG3 modder community one of those limits has been lifted, and players can finally reach level 20 with their characters.
Baldur’s Gate 3 players who have already reached the level Cap (12) with their characters, now have some good news that is sure to make them eager to try modding. There’s now a way to reach level 20 in Baldur’s Gate 3, but it requires you to do some power leveling.
This new development is all thanks to a community member of the Baldur’s Gate 3 Nexus Mods site: Malcroix. They have accomplished what many players and fans of D&D have been dreaming of doing since BG3 saw the light of day during early access.
Players can install the Level 20 (Multiclass) mod that allows you to go over level 12 by multiclassing your characters. This allows you to build powerful legendary characters that will most likely overpower the most heinous of the Absolute’s chosen.
Even if you try to tackle Baldur’s Gate 3 hardest boss, or just try to test hybrid builds like the Ninja Rogue or the Necromancer, you will most likely enjoy playing without a level cap.
There’s a catch though, and Malcroix warns players that “they should always take the level 12 in a certain class as you reach the level 20 cap” to avoid crashes and issues. He also warns players to “not go over level 12 with a single class,” as the level cap per class remains, and if you do, it will cause the game to crash.
The mod is pretty easy to install, but you need to take into consideration that it doesn’t offer Nexus Mod manager support, and you need to do it manually.
That’s how you can reach level 20 in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you are still trying to figure out what kind of character you want to try, we suggest consulting our all-classes tier guide, and our weapons guide to equip your character with the best weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3.
