Baldur’s Gate 3 is divided into three acts, each of which has its own pacing and duration, and many players think that Act 3 has drawn the shortest straw. However, a player believes Act 3 is the best, and here’s why.

For Baldur’s Gate 3 players, there’s nothing better than discovering something you missed on a previous playthrough. However, some players tend to agree that there are parts of the game that hold much more content to be discovered than others.

So far, the vast majority of players agree that Act 1 and Act 2 of Larian Studios’ blockbuster RPG are better than Act 3, both in content and narrative. However, a Baldur’s Gate 3 fan disagrees with the rest of the community and has created a post to explain why they believe everyone’s wrong about Act 3.

Reddit user ‘M33tm3onmars’ shared this post and quoted: “I feel like ya’ll lied about Act 3…” And then added: “So much of the conversation I saw about Act 3 was that it was rushed, it didn’t feel as ‘complete’ as acts 1 or 2, and that it overall just didn’t measure up.”

Then, the OP expressed its opinion on Act 3: “I honestly feel like Act 3 was borderline overwhelmingly large, and it was stuffed with encounters, some of which were uniquely challenging. Giving characters their pinnacle story moments with exciting fights just made for a ton of exciting content.”

The player then proceeded to list out all the good things Act 3 has to offer, and contrary to what the majority of Baldur’s Gate 3 players believe, Act 3 sure does look huge. Though exploring the city of Baldur’s Gate and its alleyways can make you feel quite claustrophobic, there are a lot of hidden locations and secrets to uncover.

Many of the enemies of Act 3 are tremendously strong, like Raphael, the Archdevil.

One of the players agreed with most of the OP’s pointers, but not all: “Yeah like act 3 has a mostly complete story, but it is still missing a lot. Barely any companion interactions, plus some plot threads that seem to go nowhere, such as everything with Karlach.”

Meanwhile, other players also believe that Act 3 is still lacking in dialogue and character development content: “My biggest problem with Act 3 is the amount of comments from companions and banter, which is close to 0.”

Despite the majority of the comments calling out to the ‘absence of banter’ between characters, and the ‘clustered dialogue options’ that seem to lead ‘nowhere except towards the end-game,’ M33tm3onmars has a fair point, and Act 3 is also full of incredible content to explore.

If you want to take another look at what the game has to offer, here’s a great build for Gale, to turn him into the most powerful Wizard. If you prefer to play as the Shar Cleric, here’s the best build for Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3.
