Baldur’s Gate 3 player shares how to save all the Harpers at Moonrise Towers
Larian StudiosMoonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3 is the pinnacle area of Act 2, and it can be difficult to get everything right the first time you enter its stark walls. One of the challenges is trying to make sure all the Harpers survive the big battle, but thankfully, one player found a way to make this possible.
The Harpers in Baldur’s Gate 3 are a major faction led by High Harper Jaheira and are in the fight against Ketheric Thorm. You first come across them when you reach Last Light Inn, and they form an important part of Jaheira’s quest.
If you go to Moonrise Towers after saving Dame Aylin, you will find a lot of them dead on the bridge leading to it. Players have pondered if it’s possible to save these Harpers when you side with Jaheira and go fight Ketheric, and until now, people weren’t sure.
Redditor ‘Yukimor’ shared in a post that you can save all the Harpers with some forethought and a mixing up the order of quests a little. Here is how they said you can do it.
How to save all the Baldur’s Gate 3 Harpers at Moonrise Towers
To save all the Harpers at Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3, players need to go there before the battle starts and kill most of the guards.
Simply put, here is the order of things to do if you want to save the Harpers:
- Head to Moonrise Towers before you go to the Nightsong.
- Kill the guards in the main hall.
- Kill everyone on the top floor, including Z’rell.
- Remember to head outside to the docks and kill the guards.
- Go to the Gauntlet of Shar and free the Nightsong.
- Return to Moonrise Towers and you should find all the Harpers alive.
“When I approached Moonrise Towers after freeing the Nightsong, under these conditions, there was only a single dead body on the bridge– and it was an absolutist acolyte,” the OP said.
It’s essential that you go to Moonrise Towers before you save the Nightsong if you want to make sure the Harpers survive. This is also how you find Minthara if you knocked her out in Act 1.
You also get access to some cool vendors that would otherwise be unavailable if you go to Moonrise for the first time after saving the Nightsong. This quest basically triggers the fight with Ketheric Thorm, so if you want to do anything at Moonrise besides the final battle of Act 2, make sure you go before entering the Gauntlet of Shar.
