Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you the opportunity to create any character of your choice, so this player took it and made an ‘angry dad’ in the game.

Many consider Baldur’s Gate 3‘s character creation menu to be one of the most flawless in recent gaming history; you can create almost any facial structure if you invest enough time and dedication to it. However, one Baldur’s Gate 3 player made use of the character creation menu and created their Tav as a father in the game.

Reddit user ‘Zodigod’ created an ‘angry dad’ in BG3, explaining, “If you do wrong, he stares at you until you do right” joking about the disposition of an “average New Jersey father.” The OP further said that this was a necessary measure to stop their party’s “fatherless behavior.”

Others joined in on the fun, making dad jokes and suggesting what the character would get up to in the Forgotten Realms. “Instead of romance scenes, he just takes the party members fishing,” said one player.

Many also said they would “unironically love this” as they believed the other companions like Shadowheart and Astarion would get the love of a real parent that they missed completely in Baldur’s Gate 3.

“They sit around the campfire and silently roast marshmallows for s’mores,” said another player, continuing the joke in the thread. Others didn’t fail to include some dad jokes in between as one mentioned how the “Dad Tav” would get angry if someone touched the thermostat.

Some other players were also taking ideas for their next playthrough as they were interested in role-playing a “normal suburb dad who just gets drawn into this whole mess.” All in all, many players were really interested in trying to create and roleplay as a new dad character in Baldur’s Gate 3.
