Baldur’s Gate 3 players beg devs to add most useful feature from BG2
Larian StudiosEven though Baldur’s Gate 3 has received plenty of praise since its release, some players want one handy feature back from the franchise’s previous titles.
Many consider Baldur’s Gate 3 to be one of the most successful titles of all time as Larian produced one of the biggest D&D style games in 2023. Thanks to its intricate character design and structured storyline, BG3 was crowned the Game of the Year at The Game Awards back in 2023.
Despite Baldur’s Gate 3 being one of the highest-rated games of 2023, some players have a suggestion for the devs to improve the in-game experience. Surprisingly, players want an old feature back from both BG1 and 2 that enabled them to view various stats from their playthrough.
Reddit user ‘Mothraaaaaa’ posted about this on the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit as they mentioned that they “loved this useful set of stats,” showing how players could view their contribution to the party, such as the percentage of total kills.
The OP claimed that “BG3 needs this” and many others were on the same page with them. Since being in a party is quite mandatory and the D&D style combat is entirely dependent on that, some players felt that it would be nice to see how much Tav is contributing to the entire crew’s success.
“I liked this too. Liked checking Most Powerful Enemy Killed stat, and finding unexpected data, like Aerie going from Skeleton to Kangaxx,” added a player referencing BG2. Another player suggested that “%damage would be nice too” in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Some players were quite surprised that there was no mod released to include such stats in the game. “I loved those useless stats. Strangest killed. How much time was in the party. Everything was just so fun to watch,” claimed one player as well.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game that has hardly received backlash since its release and the devs have been quick to fix issues.
