Baldur’s Gate 3 players are in love with Lae’zel and her expressions that are completely opposite to her demeanor during the entire playthrough.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is famous for its intricate storyline and critically acclaimed character design that has enabled it to achieve the Game of the Year title in 2023. With a widely praised chain of companions, players are still getting mesmerized by some details in the game.

Lae’zel has been one of the fan-favorite companions, and the go-to romantic partner for many players since launch. Even though she appears to be a stoic warrior who only cares about her goals, players find her expressions and mannerisms to be adorable in the game.

Reddit user ‘splendidnothings’ started this discussion in the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit as they said: “I love a feral cat character with big puppy eyes,” with a collage of Lae’zel’s pictures where her expressions are contrary to her warrior demeanor.

Many players agreed with the OP as one of them claimed: “The dialogue when she’s quiet and rolls her eyes at your tav made me wheeze lmao.” Her eyes have always been a major subject of discussion in the community as players loved the overall design and expressions in Baldur’s Gate 3.

“Her expressive af eyes give her away, despite how menacing she often tries to be,” said a player, stressing the stark contrast between her expressions and overall warrior-like nature. Some players even found her to be “mean” at the beginning, until they discovered her true self in Baldur’s Gate 3.

One player presented an example of Lae’zel’s “cute” nature as they pointed out the Mountain Pass discussion between her and the player, where she got “flustered” during the entire conversation. Others even claimed her to be a “softie” after watching her facial expressions for the first time.

As mentioned earlier, Lae’zel has been one of the most popular characters and has a ton of players who pick her as their romantic partner, and many claim that it is due to her expressions and overall nature in Baldur’s Gate 3.
